Went out to a goth club last night. Here's me hours before, just after realizing I own next to zero clothes that could pass for goth and hastily cobbling together an outfit. I have spared you the sight of my makeupless face. Enjoy my lovely minimoogs, though.

Speaking as a longtime goth fan who doesn't really look like one, the coolest people don't wear the uniforms.

Thank you! And I feel that. I normally dress pretty hyper-femme so I feel like people make assumptions about my music taste. I once walked into Guitar Center wearing a bright pink gingham dress and surprised some dudes by joining their conversation about 90s death metal, haha.

Haha, nice.

The alternative kid to fashionista pipeline is totally real though. I hung out with the Myspace emo kids in high school and so many of them went on to get into beauty and fashion as a career.

Nice take on the little black dress and the ankle-strap shoes are very flattering, ZooeyDeSynthgirl (are those tassels on the straps?).
