No worries OH. But reason it contextually. Bear in mind that my era of the internet and of digital media predate the casual taken-for-granted selfie era of slouched, ill-posed carelessness with no consideration to lighting or exposure that has come to dominate the internet selfie. Remember that I labor for hours well into the night to uniformly structure metadata mappings and database systems to archival perfection. I don't half-ass anything. I'm passionate about doing my best work at all times. So if I take a selfie, I'm going to put some mindfulness and some effort into it.

If that's trying too hard, I'll graciously accept the label.

He's definitely vain, but not in a way that's insincere. He's vain in a way that's targeted inward. He just wants to look cool in a way that ignores everything but his own standards. His is a fashion sense I can respect.
