Hey, Carp's back. Nice. Good to see ya around.

I had a Chilean for a while a long time ago. Awesome pets.

Rosehairs especially are phenomenal pets. That was my first subspecies when I was a kid and have three currently. The carapaces have that gorgeous signature coloring, and all are very docile.

My OBT (orange baboon tarantula), on the other hand... Well let's just say they're affectionately known in the hobby as "orange bitey thing". Nasty temperament. Nice looking spiders though.

I have a herpetologist friend that had one of those, along with a Goliath and then all kinds of reptiles, snakes, and even a brown skunk. I used to love going over there, but he got married, had kids, and now the herd is dwindled down to a few turtles. I've learned a lot from him. The kind of dude that you'd find with a net and a sack walking the creek or the edge of a pond. People like that are amazing.
