Default Feels like going back in time...

Used to be a hardcore member of one of two music forums like this in the long-distant past. I didn't know such forums still existed.

Anyway, I've arrived here because I need to talk music - the kind that I personally like, which I can't really do with my nearest and dearest. They like musicals. I do not like musicals. I listen to rock, and they don't. I don't know how I ended up in the midst of them. There is absolutely no history of rock afficionados in my family. Ever. I must be some sort of genetic aberration. Either that or I was a groupie in my past life (although I have been squeaky-clean in my present existence, sadly).

Anyway, hello to everyone on here .. or something. Did I mention that I like rock music? Alternative rock, generally, whatever that means. I like classical music too, and listening to old pop hits from the 80s and 90s which remind me of my all-too prim youth.

EDIT: Actually I see that I AM classed as a groupie on here. Spooky!

Hi! So you like classical music, how do you feel about Bach?

Well, you can't diss one of the greatest music geniuses of all time. I like Bach's music. Especially his Violin Concerto in A Minor. I used to play the violin part in that, and a piano accompaniment as well (not at the same time obviously). Sadly I've not played violin or piano in many years now.

Hey and welcome to the forums!

I can relate to you on the difference of music taste in my family. I like most of what my family likes, but there are a few genres and decades of the distant past that they don't connect with. As far as alternative rock and classical go, I really enjoy The Cardigans and Chopin

Enjoy your stay here on the forums and hopefully you'll meet a ton of friends to enthuse with over music!
