Smile Man, Thanks

I got big-time sidetracked mainly for personal issues. This was compounded by my vacuum tube preamp being in need of repair. It was gone for ~3 months and I just got it back two weeks ago.

Thanks all. Dmitri, you really hit the nail on the head, I think. As well as the Klemmer suggestion.

I have ordered:
Klemmer - Touch
Gato Barbieri - Caliente (plus, we have the same last name!)
e.s.t. - Gagarin's

Dmitry, I keep internet'ing your suggestions and I can tell from the input of other's that they are right up my alley.

A also got Julee Cruise. Her voice, such as in Falling, is just stunning, in my opinion.

Again, thank you all. I am still in the midst of researching these excellent suggestions.

I think you will really like Stan Getz.

You should check out the bossa nova records he did with Gilberto and Jobim.

Like "Girl from Ipanema".

If you're an audiophile, be cautious about Itunes. It's a great way to hear new music, but the sound quality is badly lacking vs. red-book 16/44 cd.
