Howlin' Wolf is pretty awesome, and Chulahoma by The Black Keys is pretty sweet as well. I've been meaning to get more blues though.

Blues is triumph over adversity, so I don't put blues on when I'm down at all. Very few musical genres are so refreshingly honest. Blues is.

I don't put on blues when I have the blues either.

I try:
Thom Yorke/Radiohead or Tori Amos - To let the blues overwhelm me.
The Mars Volta - To turn the blues into an angry/meloncholy kind of mood.

I don't normally try to change my mood with music, I try to further it. A little destructive at times but that's the way I like it.

A couple of Thom Yorke songs that get me a little blue:
The Tourist - Radiohead
Rabbit In Your Headlights - Unkle
How to disappear completely - Radiohead

What a waste! What a waste!
But I don't mind.

I agree with jackhammer, frances, arivolk.....I don't put on the blues when im feeling blue or down. I play and listen to the blues because I'm excited about the blues lol. Puts a smile on my face every time. And Chumb good call on the black keys, I freakin love that band.

Smile Yeah, enjoy Blues much!!!

Although I only listen to chinese Blues but I think there's no border for music, right? I enjoy Blues so much especially during rainy day. David Tao, Z-Chen, Yanzi... they are some my favourite singers!!!
