The Taxi Driver soundtrack is so damn good it borders on genius.

As CoolBec said, the composer of the Taxi Driver score was long time Hitchcock soundtrack collaborator Bernard Herrmann, who did all of those brilliant scores to Hitch's films, including the dissonant screeching violins in the iconic shower scene in Psycho. More than a few people think Herrmann was the greatest soundtrack composer ever... Sorry, Mr. Morricone!

Janet Leigh who was the victim of the shower scene stabbing in Psycho said she watched the daily rushes of the shower scene without Hermann's soundtrack music and said the scene was quite boring. However after adding Bernard Herrmann's music to the scene Janet Leigh said the shower scene scared the beejesus out her.

Don't know if anyone still intrested but I found a great film from 47' . It's really perfect(for me). Great music and actors, storyline was 'okay' but it's worth for the soundtrack. The title is "New Orleans" starring Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday!

Here is a clip from this awesome, transferring you to the past film!

Billie Holiday & Louis Armstrong - New Orleans - YouTube

Hope you like it guys. Really worth watching.
