You'll probably find a lot of instrumental hip hop that incorporates jazz to be to your liking. Artists like BADBADNOTGOOD, Kenichiro Nishihara, Nujabes, and other artists may be what you're looking for.

Default Slide guitar

Hi everyone
Can anyone please recommend some slide guitar artists , who play the more aggressive and swampy kind in this sub genere ?
I spent hours on Youtube , Google and such , but still didn't find something i realy can connect to .
I really liked for example the opening theme of Hell On Wheels , and for that matter , the tunes that I have enjoyed the most , are the deep south western instrumental type that mostly appear in movies , series and such . Only the harsh stuff !!!
Any recommendations ???

Tnx

Start with Robert Johnson, move forward to B. B. King; insert Clapton while resting.

I know this will prompt some disagreement, but please be respectful... it's just my opinion. To put it mildly, including Clapton in the same post as Robert Johnson and BB is disturbing. To put more of my heart into it, Clapton is overrated... he tries to play himself off as a blues guitarist, but he's a rock guitarist influenced by blues greats with whom he dreams about being in the same class.

There are just too many great performances of Scott H. Biram for me to choose which one to post... so I picked one of the first I saw on YouTube. If you haven't heard of him, give this a listen and maybe look for some others. If you get a chance to see him live you will be in for a treat - a rawnchy, vulgar treat but a treat nonetheless!

Scott H Biram - Freight Train Boogie - YouTube

First of all thanks alot ...
BBking Clapton Johnson and Scott H Biram are awsome , but not the specific type i was looking for...
Beacuse i'm new , i'm not allowed to post URL to other sites , but if you will type "swampy slide guitar" on YouTube , you will find a few slow, istrumental , creepy tunes that i was talked about ..
Do anyone of you guys know an artist\band who plays (only) tunes like that ?? Beacuse I search 4 hours without any results..
Tnx again

Guy,
Actually, I hadn't intended SHB in response to slide guitar. I will post more soon (possibly as late as sometime this weekend though) about slide guitar folks. I know the sound you're talkin' about.
