On a website called "Listverse", I found one of those rather meaningless lists, " Greatest Jazz Musicians Of All Time" :

I`m going off-list as well, as one of my favorite albums is by Don Cherry. Though knowledgeable people say that he was a limited player, he was something of a pioneer in directing his jazz sensibilities back towards Africa and other parts of the globe, and this track, Degi-Degi is one of the results :

And Bill Evans is great

There are many lovely jazz records in his discography. One I've enjoyed recently is a release of him and Chet Baker playing together called The Complete Legendary Sessions. This version of Time on my Hands is one of the songs on the record (the uploader got the title slightly wrong it seems).

Yes! Coltrane is wonderful. I love his album, A Love Supreme. I've played it countless times, and I still haven't burnt it out.
