Bela fleck & the flecktones are off the hook i love them. Voctor Wooten is my #1 bassist

I dunno any band that is similar to the flecktones its hard to find a band that fuses between funk, bluesgrass and jazz yet sound this good.
But check..
*Dave Matthews Band.
*Manhattan Transfer.

Peace

Talking have alisten to ernest ranglin

I heard tham at Byron Bay Blues Fest two years ago and they knocked my socks off!! I was in the front row so it was atruly awesome experience. Ernest Ranglin and his band had the same effect on me at this year's Byron Bay extravaganza. The music was so good you wanted to reach out and hold it close. A wonderful feeling.

Try: Addison Groove
Jazz mandolin project
Schleigho (www.schleigho.com)
Soulive
Tower of Power
Miracle Orchestra
Garaj Mahal
Ulu

I listed several bands because I didn't know what specific element of the band you were "attracted" to. There really is only one BF&F.

Didn't ManHat Transfer do "talking bout the girl from new york city?"

If so they should be caged for their crimes against music.

Yeah, that's them. Not very representative of the breadth of their material though. They're a jazz vocal group and that song was kinda' a crossover hit for them. Pretty bad, I know. I can't understand suggesting them as a similar band to BF&F.

Cool if you like bella fleck

if you like bella fleck man, then you should definitely check out a little band i like to call the string cheese incident... if anyone can mix jazz bluegrass and funk like the fleck then it is definitely them... they started off as bluegrass and now they've moved toward jam and a little more style of phish, but my boy keith mosely knows how to keep it real on the bass. not nearly as good as vic, but puy him together with kyle hollingsworth, mike kang, billy nershie, and michael travis dude, and its incredible... mark my words, they are poised to take over the underground music scene as we know it, they're incredible, and if you want to get into them i suggest buying their "On the Road" cd's.... just pick up and halloween or new years show from 2002 on and you will be convinced my friend, convinced!
