Default Help! Acid Jazz & Funk Jazz

Hey, new member here looking for some help in finding some new music and artists to listen too, recently come across some Acid Jazz and Funk Jazz (which I never knew existed) and yea I'm loving it, seriously loving it, which is odd seeing I'm into Slayer and other heavy ****.

So can members here throw some names of artists and bands my way in this genre of music please? really like the stuff without singing in it, it's pretty ****ing awesome.

Try On the Corner by Miles Davis or Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock. For more modern, Combustication by Medeski Martin and Wood is a good choice. Acid Jazz, however, is kind of a vague item. I got into it first for jazz, but found what I was really after was Jazz Fusion.

The first two albums straddle the line between Fusion and Funk. Seeing that you like heavy stuff, you may also try Bitches Brew by Miles Davis. That's turned out to be my favorite jazz album of any kind.

I like Trombone Shorty. Slacker classifies him as acid jazz.

Mahavishnu Orchestra check out "The Inner Mounting Flame" (their first album) and "Birds of Fire" (their second album).

I love listening to jazz music. In fact, I have created a mixture of acid and funk jazz... I would shortly post the link here...

I'm currently listening to a 1 hour worth of Acid Jazz, I'm sure if you download Shazam then you'll get the name of the songs
