I played the tenor sax a little there, and would be my first suggestion is a great sound, easy to play the alto sax is a piercing sound and is the smallest, the wording is a little less height, but can still climb, what is best for blues or jazz.

I have to agree that there is nothing quite like a well placed saxophone solo on an old school blues record.

The guitar because of all the emotion it can convey, and the variety of different players over the years. You can take the same blues song, give it to 2 different guitarists and you'll hear back 2 completely different interpretations!

Thanks Rezz...like anything else the topic is just a matter of opinion, but I dont see where the confusion is honestly. Though in all fairness acoustic was around before the electric, but after hearing pieces of work like SRV's little wing, and others similar. Its just not even close in my opinion.
