Burlesque, please!

I'm in swing music mode today, and I can't stop listening to this sexy carnie song (to clarify: "sexy" as an adjective for "song" not "carnie"... I don't personally find carnies sexy... which isn't to say that I judge those who do, of course)...

I'm loosely classifying this as "Burlesque" and posting this thread in the jazz forum since the predominant sound is obviously swing... I would really appreciate any other recommendations with similar sounds.

Can you believe this snappy little number only has 25 hits on youtube?!

Only something JUST like that... Thanks, Grindy!

And in return for your splendid recommendaton, I will post an alternative link for Hoochie Coochie Girls... Because you'd probably really enjoy its subtle dark flavor...

Nice!

The Tiger Lillies are also pretty burlesque, now that I think of it.

Not many tunes by these guys on the tubes, but they are in a similar realm:

These are also great examples:

This just made an otherwise unenjoyable hour-long ride to the hospital very enjoyable indeed.

I got to admit, if I'm going to watch an actual dance, I much prefer belly dance to traditional cabaret... Rachel Brice specializes in tribal fusion. Note her controlled isolated movements (I chose this particular performance because of the burlesque number playing in the background, though she has danced to a variety of different genres)...

Such a great band!

I discovered this band called D.on Darox & The Melody Joy Bakers on my last trip to New Orleans. Funny thing is they are from California. They're fabulous live! Hope this helps. Check them out on youtube. or Google. I'd post videos but this is my first post.
