I don't know if its me, but I tried some coltrane and it was really slick and over produced. I don't know if thats all his stuff but it really put me off. Go Davis, I think he stays strong throughout.

It really depends on the type of jazz you like. I like all kinds, but if you like free form jazz you HAVE to check out:
  • Sun Ra
  • Sonny Sharrock

If you like word jazz:
  • Ken Nordine

Bebop Jazz:
  • Dizzie Gilespie
