Yes! Finally a Thelonious Monk thread. Criss-Cross is a great album, but how about Monk's Blues with genious songs like "Reflections", "Monk's Point", and "Brilliant Corners." Now that's some ear candy! There's also Straight, No Chaser which is another amazing album.

i have criss cross on vinyl - great song but my favourites are Crepuscle with Nellie, Monks Mood and Straight, No Chaser

the book called Straight, No Chaser is a really good read too.

(Excuse me for be'in white) I heard there was an album either created at the end of T.Monks career or just post life.... called "thelonious monk thelonious monk" where can I get one if it was made?
