peppers don't deserve this slander.
the only pick here I can understand is white bread; good, flavourful white bread exists but from what I know you're a brit living in the US so you haven't tasted it

I never imagined my comments about peppers (I DID say I can handle them if lightly applied to a pizza) would set the Pepper Defense League into action. Yes. The typical white bread available on supermarket shelves where I live, leaves a lot to be desired in terms of taste. There is a bakery a few miles from me which probably has better quality white bread than I could get at one of my local supermarkets but it's out of my way and if I did go there, I'd most likely be looking for something else.
