Central Time. It's 5 am here :o

zachsd 12-23-2010 04:11 AM

Oh wow. I assumed you had to be Pacific because anything later would just be plain ridiculous.

someonecompletelyrandom 12-23-2010 04:12 AM

Lol, yeah... Tell me about it. Gonna start working graveyard shifts soon to pay the bills so I might as well get used to it.

zachsd 12-23-2010 04:18 AM

My sister has a job where she has to wake up at 3:00 AM to help set up the Macy's kids department. Sounds completely miserable.

Which reminds me I need to find a job too. "I was looking for a job and then I found a job.... and heaven knows I'm miserable now"

My favorite. Graveyard shift is just as screwy as my sleep schedule so they balance out well. I find myself sleeping only a few hours but wake up fully refreshed.

Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

There are lots of tips out there that help people get to sleep.

One is to not use the bed and bedroom for anything but sleeping. The place and the bed in particular should be associated with sleep. Don't spend time there if you're just frustrated that you can't sleep. If you're feeling awake, go somewhere else.

Another tip is to .. well, get a wank.

Tore you have posted lots of advice but this is your best yet.

Scarlett O'Hara 12-27-2010 02:02 AM

Does that work for girls Tore? When I get horny I get totally buzzed up.

someonecompletelyrandom 12-27-2010 02:14 AM

Girls can't wank. That's a right reserved for penile bearers of the species.

What are you like 12? Of course girls wank. They just don't discuss it usually. What do you think vibrators are for?

someonecompletelyrandom 12-27-2010 02:22 AM

I meant isn't the term wank specifically used in association with a penis?
Of course women can masturbate

Scarlett O'Hara 12-27-2010 02:24 AM

I beat off. I guess it depends on the person. Haha I totally didn't get where you were going with that one.

someonecompletelyrandom 12-27-2010 02:26 AM

That would have been an interesting 10 page debate.

I can't see why it shouldn't!

And if it doesn't make you fall asleep, at least you have something to do during the night. ;)

Dr_Rez 12-27-2010 02:54 AM

This may be taking it a bit far but it always bothers me to here the term lick pussy. Shouldn't it be more suck pussy. I mean thats what your really doing more than just licking about. And in case you think im trying to be fnny im not im 100% serious.

Scarlett O'Hara 12-27-2010 02:58 AM

But guys do lick?

What do you mean? (I realize it happens but is not what its all about, at least not with anyone iv ever heard about)

Scarlett O'Hara 12-27-2010 03:02 AM

Well you run your tongue around the cliterus (sp?) and flick it with your tongue. You don't suck on it, that's just weird.

Dr_Rez 12-27-2010 03:03 AM

Well I dont mean like you would suck on a lollipop going for a chocolate center. Call it delicate flick sucking I guess? Use of suction*

Scarlett O'Hara 12-27-2010 03:07 AM

I guess you could call it that.

s_k 12-27-2010 04:52 PM

Insomnia just got an entirely new meaning :D.

Eitherway, it does work for girls yeah. At least for the ones I know.
But usually when I give them that advice they say 'I've already done that twice'.
Which is a nice answer. And probably proves that it doesn't really work, but is worth the try. Eitherway, I'm good at monologues, so I just talk them to sleep. Which always works (not kidding ;)).

DeathBreath 01-01-2011 12:58 PM

I have insomnia, it sucks.
Sleeping meds have saved me!

Stonedtone 04-10-2014 07:44 PM

I Can Never Sleep Late

So many times, like tomorrow, I could sleep in. I never can. I wake up early and don't go back to sleep. I wish I could. I also can't take naps. I never could fall asleep mid day. Anyone else in this situation?

Urban Hat€monger ? 04-12-2014 02:17 PM

Not sure why you posted this in General Music but I'll move it to the appropriate forum.

Metric Andy 04-13-2014 08:23 AM

I suffer from bouts of insomnia, at the moment i'm getting good nights sleep.
So i'm happy. I think my problem is stress related due to my job, i'm obviously not to stressed at this time.
I try to avoid sleeping tablets etc.... ZZZzzzzzz....

SoloSong 04-14-2014 01:11 PM

Just read something - when I read in bed it never lasts more that 10 min and I fall asleep

RoxyRollah 04-14-2014 06:57 PM

^ That doesn't work, for insomniacs. I have seen one to many infomercials, and read enough books over the course of having insomnia to know that ain't how that works love. I wish.

I was on sleeping pills for 8 months last year. I took too many once and I went sleep walking outside. Luckily my boyfriend at the time took me back to bed, apparently I was talking gibberish to him and was thrashing around in the bed the whole night. I woke up not even realising. The pills gave me a bit of a high so if I took it on an empty stomach I literally floated all the way home. I went on a shopping spree and bought 5 pairs of shoes on it too. Eventually my doctor was like, "girl, we need to cut these down". Now I talk a antihistamine and amnitripylene to get me to sleep. I get to sleep well on them but eventually I'll stop taking them and try to sleep, if my insomnia can be managed that way.

troywhitemusic 04-15-2014 01:29 AM

without doubt I wake up after a few hours. Don't know if that is considered insomnia. but nonetheless it does my head in.
