Well i dress the way i want but a lot of my clothes are based on the music i listen to.
But it isn't because of the music i wear them. I love the way my clothes look and how i dress cause i wouldn't wear them if i didn't but it's great it reflects on the music.
The chavs at my school can't stand people wearing anything but matching tracksuits and bling bling as they call it.
So me and ma mates get a lot of hassle and the normal bullying but i don't let it get on top of me.
Although my friend committed suicide a few weeks ago because of bullies and i am so happy she didn't die cause i don't know what i would've done. All because we don't want to follow their way of life or look like clones of them.

And about metal detectors i can't even get through the security things at certain theme parks without having to remove the belt off my skirt or trousers or my chains.
As for the airport in Turkey there are loads of security checks to go through so just as i have put ma belt back on i have to remove it again.

I learned about Chav's today by my fashion critic pom friend! In NZ we just call them Gangsta's or bums. He also told me Goth's are everywhere in England.

Is that what chavvy comes from?

I wear tight pants (Levi 30,32 slim), band shirts, and zip up hoodies.

I do not have a scene haircut nor do I wear girl clothes. Do I get **** for my dress? on occasion from the local "thugz" but 99% of the time I make a joke about it. I'll say something like I'd be golden in New Orleans right now, they laugh, I laugh and there is an understanding.

If it bothers you so bad, than don't dress like that. If you like those clothes than suck it up.

Lol- I dont wear actual "metal" stuff, just t-shirts with metal bands on them, wristbands, headband etc. I agree with you about dressing the way you want, and I also like my clothes and think it's cool that they represent my taste in music.
There's chavs in my school too, and I do kinda stand out, but I dont really get hassle about it. It's such a shame about your friend- is she okay now?

Yeah she's okay but they are giving her anti depressants and to me she isn't the same person
She hardly smiles now and i don't really know what to do
She gets criticised for everything she does.
What way she wears her hair or what trousers she wears why don't they just give her a break you know.
Any suggestions how to cheer her up i'm quite worried

First off. Tell her to get a sense of humour. This may sound harsh but I know what I'm talking about.
If she can't lighten up herself, then as a friend you have to do it for her...ok.
I'm sick to fucking death of people differenciating about people, simply because they may wear different clothes, or whatever.
What pisses me off even more, are the type of people who allow this to happen.

If you choose to be different, then you have to expect shite arse remarks from wankers you should'nt really be taking any notice of.
Don't let it bother you, be who you want to be and stop bitching if 'normal' people give you a hard time.
