Murphy's Law is just because its human nature to take things for granted. People don't notice it when things dont go wrong, but when they do they get in a huffy about it. So to most people's perspective, things always go wrong if they can, just because they don't appreciate it as much if they dont go wrong.

Hmm, Im trying hard to put what Im thinking into words, its harder than I thought..

Oh so your saying that people never appreciate when things go right, yet always complain when things go wrong.

Therefore making their lives more miserable than what they really are.

Exactly. People notice the bad much more than the worse. Hence why optimists are normally the happier people

Yeah I semi think the same way except you've gone one step further and said taken into account that people take the good times for granted as well.

I always just thought it's upto you how bad you make things, hitting back in life as fast as you can is the best thing to do. You can't let things keep washing over you, It just whethers you away even more, making you feel even worse than you originally felt. Life will always be dealing you crap cards so you just gotta make sure you enjoy the good ones while you can.

i never sayed I wasn't happy. happyness only lasts when it is being lived, but it isnt that strong of an emotion. if I based my life on happyness I would just be covering my problems and never get anything done. I can understand your optimism, and you probably have alote of good influences and people taking care of everything you want..I dont expect any one like you to understand, and I wish I could live like you, but I cant. Iam a very hyper happy person in good moments when Iam with friends, but I dont see a reason to saying life is all shiny and sparkles, maybe if it was all handed to me.

Well, Im not trying to say that people don't notice the good. Im saying they take it for granted when nothing bad happens.. And yeah, your experience of life is just how good you make it and want it to be, but some people are just more comfortable being unhappy and miserable most of the time. Seems crazy to me, but live and let live..

Ah see thats where you're wrong. My life hasnt been "all shiny and sparkles", and when I was younger, people got fed up with me being upset and left me be. Thats what got me where I am today, 'cause I hated my younger years, I really really did. I went back to my secondary school last night for an awards evening, and I actually had to leave incase I made a scene, I couldnt stand being in a room full of people that used to hate me so much.. Yeah, Im completely going off on a tangent now, but.. The point remains. If it wasnt for a pretty crappy upbringing, I wouldnt be the optimist I am now, and I wouldnt have realised that seeing the best in things makes everything so much more enjoyable..

WOAH, Im sure that makes no sense. Ramble alert..

Thats what I was saying when I wrote that "Iam hyperly happy when I'm with friends..".I know that the moment wont matter when its gone so I make the best of it. I think your rambling has shown me your alittle on the same page. I said I understand your optimism. I just resent people that think life's great when they have had everything handed to them and have always had people to go to. I guess its a primal jelousy, (I dont know if thats spelled right).but still everyone thinks there problems are worst than others...Iam sure there's some millionaire crying about his drinks not being cold, thinking his life is way worst than anyones.

Hah I see... Yeah, jealousy's a bitch with everyone, I dont think that makes you any worse. They have the right to think life is great though, its just annoying when the HUGE majority of people don't. Its sooooo much worse though, when people have a great life, and yet insist that their life is miserable.
