Well I feel for them. A couple of weeks ago I watched a friend's band play and they were followed by a hardcore band. A mate of mine was there and suddenly he said "hold my glasses", gave me his glasses and started hardcore dancing to them. You just can't tell whether to laugh or give a 'my child has just happily pissed itself in public' supportive smile.

What to do?

I liked it when the fat guy tried to 'break it down'.
This involved slick slow-motion techno hand movements.

Whoa! Are you messing with my mind? Well, too much hardcore does make you go blind.

I knew hardcore sucked before I ever knew what it meant, naming a genre that is trying to hard.

to the first part: precisely my reasoning

to the second part: i like hardcore. not that band. not most bands. the ones who do it right make it all worth while (From Ashes Rise, Comeback Kid, Champion)
