Yea, in the "what do you care about" thread you said "the girl I love"....I assumed that meant girlfriend but I could be wrong....and that girl you wrote songs about...

ArtistInTheAmbulance 01-01-2006 05:29 AM

Technically he wouldnt have to be in a relationship fer any of that..

But yeah, anyways, resolutions and shizz..

I have to never diet again.
And quit complaining to people about stuff that they have to put up with too.
And Im determined to meet up with a few people , some that I havent seen for years now and some Ive just never met.
And also, to actually pass an exam or two. That might be good..

I was gonna quit drinking, but thats just plain stupid, so Ill just drink less..

Scarlett O'Hara 01-01-2006 06:28 PM

^ But why would you diet in the first place? You are tiny!

illusion 01-01-2006 07:04 PM

I am going to try and get fit as well as try to get a job. I might also see if this is the year that I can buy a Les Paul, I have been saving up for years and years. This might be my year

Prolly from years of on/off dieting, mind you. But it messed up my blood sugar levels or somethin, when I was li'l it gave me hella awful migraines and stuff. So, no more :)

Don't understand why skinny sheilas diet all the time.My missus is allways on a diet and there's nothing of her. When she walks behind a telegraph pole I don't see her for 5 minutes.

I can see why so many girls have anorexia issues when all they're concerned about is how skeletal they can look:(

You always see yourself in a different light than others do though, thats the thing, and there's always someone whos skinnier, prettier, got better hair etc than you. Getting skinnier is just one of the things you can do something about , I guess. I dont know the logic behind it at all, I just know that I can't diet anymore, thanks to the doc. So, expect me to grow obese or summat over 2006 =(

Cheese 01-02-2006 05:57 AM

Must be a women thing.
*shrugs shoulders*

You can't diet anymore.I can't buy anymore cars her indoors said "one more and you're out".
Tis a little unfair.

riseagainstrocks 01-02-2006 09:55 AM

Just a heads up, guys don't like girls that they can break.

Lesson: unless you're clinically overweight, don't worry bout it.

Urban Hat€monger ? 01-02-2006 10:09 AM

I`ve never understood this obsession with women being skinny.

One of my best friends is this really cute latino girl with the most gorgeous curves you`ve ever seen and she`s always trying to get rid of them.

It`s sad really

Scarlett O'Hara 01-02-2006 03:29 PM

AITA how young were you when you first started dieting?

I have never been on a diet in my life, I think a lot of people would cause me physical damage if I did! But I probably havn't because I've got a fast matabolism (sp?), if I didn't eat enough I'd lose it really quickly. But once I hit 25...it's all downhill I bet. :D

dog 01-03-2006 05:58 AM

Well when I was 9 I was refusing to eat, I guess that counts ? =/

I was a bit weird apparently. Cause I was li'l and all, it wasnt too good and gave me migraines and gave me the shakes and shizz.

Meh.

madeinNY 01-03-2006 11:56 AM

Oh hun that is so young, what made you think you needed to? But you don't have to get into it if you don't want to. The main thing is that you're well now! :)

It was a long, and hard task. I constantly had the thought of a cheeseburger melting in my mouth, but with real determination, I managed to keep away. :)

I still havn't eaten it yet, and it's the 6th day into the year! I'm a freak of nature, I know...

EDGE 01-05-2006 05:09 PM

Decoy 01-07-2006 07:45 AM

im going to try to get fitter

Scarlett O'Hara 12-01-2013 09:16 PM

Wow, I was searching for a thread of this title and realised I was the one who started this one!

What are your resolutions people? I know not everyone sees the point in them (as you could make changes any time during the year), but for those who do post away.

This year I plan to go three months with having junkfood once a week and swimming twice a week. If that brings good results I'll then join a gym to work on strengthening my body, toning my muscles and reducing my overall body fat percentage. I though three months would be a good time frame.

IvanMC 12-01-2013 10:02 PM

Vanilla, I just had a gander at your 2005 thread! Did you live up to that McDonalds promise? None of it for a whole year in those days? I haven't been to one since 2001. Got to loathe it then and vowed to never get back there again.
Now I plan to make a huge change: I might part with the teeming city and start afresh in some ravishing town, far from the capital city. I also plan to rescue a street dog. Why not two?

ladyislingering 12-01-2013 10:07 PM

  • stop eating sweets/try to wean myself off unnatural caffeine products and aspartame.
  • get my new driver's license (I've lived in this state for almost 2 years; I think it's time).
  • study a new language.
  • handle my depression more wisely when it flares up.

What language are you interested in? I'd really like to get back into studying a language too. Maybe get back into French. I used to be fluent but I think I've lost some of it as I haven't spoken a word of it in 5 years.

Cheese 12-01-2013 10:32 PM

My new years resolution is to get the hell out of this country

I certainly did, I managed to not have McDonalds for a year and a half. I am one of the few who can commit to resolutions. I ended up being repulsed by Maccas at that time. I'm not guaranteeing that I'll manage this years resolutions though, but I made it realistic, I can't go from eating junk a lot to not at all.

I blame John Key. I love this country, I can get past the embarressing parts of it, but not it's wages. I am quite keen to move to Melbourne next year or the year after. Although I know that there is a shortage of IT people (.Net specialists) so I'm going to really focus on finishing my study!

You're not wrong there. The wages in this country are pathetic along with the law

It's ridiculous. Middle class families are barely able to support themselves. In prison convicts are better off.

I'm thinking Spanish or French, as both languages are practically vital in this area of the United States. (You'd be surprised how many of my customers can't communicate with me because they don't speak English - imagine how much better my service could be if I knew their home language.)
