I'm not sure how to interpret my dream, but I think that it means he has something to tell me or ask me. I know for sure that he is not gay!!

thats true, weird random things tend to happen in dreams

i had a neat dream where i was sitting by an open window, and a bunch of pigeons carrying letters flew by one by one. I opened up the letters and each letter had one word on it. The words were completely unrelated, and i couldn't fit them together. it was like they were sending me a puzzle.

It's weird, because it's another of my recurring dreams, and I've not been over that bridge in months; I hate driving in Ohio, because they love pulling people with Kentucky tags over, even if they're minding the speed limit. ****ing Ohio cops, man. They pulled me for going one over the speed limit once. Seriously. But I digress...

Anyway, in this dream, it kind of varies where I am at the time. Twice, I've been beside the Paramount (old movie theatre renovated to be a performing arts center) about to turn on the main road, and just see it happening in front of me.

Once, I was coming back over the bridge, and got stuck between the foundation and a chunk of road, but not completely in the water. There were other cars in the water, too. Every single time the dream happens, though, there are several cars I recognize from the previous dream; a silver minivan, a beat up red Toyota Camry, and a matte black Camaro.

This dream really sketches me out. I'm not ever horrified or anything in the dream; just kind of awed and dumbfounded as though it was really happening, completely in shock.

Needless to say, I'm not going over that bridge anytime soon.

If I had to go all pop-psych on that one I'd say the bridge represents change, either being trapped where you are or feeling that if you make this change there's no coming back.

Last night I dreamed there was white tailed spiders (who bite you which can get infected) everywhere and I was trying to kill one and they were jumping on me!! I woke up after and it took me ages to stop feeling scared that they might be in my room. I've been getting nightmares most nights lately.

Frownland 12-12-2012 08:08 PM

I have weird dreams often. Last night I dreamt that there was a group of snails with sharp shells in my living room and they kept attacking me by rushing under my feet and getting stuck in my big toes. Then my dad rushes in and tells me to hide him in the kitchen drawer because the police were after him for having illegal snails. It didn't work out, getting him in the drawer because he's 6' 7", so he had me duct tape him to the ceiling.

When the cops came I pretended like I was studying and the cop asked me if he could get some of my notebook. I was confused, and he was like "you know, let me get some of that, like let me write in it." I gave him the notebook and it was filled with printouts of MB users' profiles. I don't remember much after that but I do recall that my dog's nose got tattooed with a psychedelic gif, and I was cool with it because it was her choice. Fun stuff.

:(

That's not good, they are pretty active all year round I think. I have had a few real life encounters with them, one I got my friend to catch and put outside which was a bad move because it came back into my room! I ended up spraying it with fly spray so much that it drowned in it. They are so scary because they basically hiss and bear their fangs at you on hind legs.

I guess they're tougher where you are :yikes:. I haven't seen one do that but they are really good at hiding. If you try to kill/catch one and you miss they drop to the ground and disappear then re-emerge when you finally relax again.

Was sitting on the couch the other day and one crawled down my arm out of the clothes I'd just put on.

Scarlett O'Hara 12-12-2012 08:43 PM

That scares the hell out of me because if they get in my room I do not sleep until it's dead. You must have got a fright? Did you get it outside?

I really can't even fathom the world anymore. I'm fairly certain an episode is coming on, if it's not already, and just hope like HELL that it doesn't impact my job.

I can't even mention a few of the non-bridge dreams. It's just...****.

wiggums 12-12-2012 11:25 PM

The last couple nights I've had really memorable, long dreams. Here's the complete first dream:

So, I'm on vacation at this mountain resort. There's lots of bridges connection log cabins, good food, beautiful scenery, lots of hiking paths and other attractions, and no civilization around for miles.

Me and my family/friends are going to relax for a weekend, and a lot of people we know happened to go as well. We have nice rooms, great service, and are having a great time.

One afternoon I walk into a sort of main hall with lots of people standing in it. The main hall leads up to a beautiful balcony that looks over the entire resort. Even more people are standing out there as well.

They are all gathered around 2 people -- coincedentally, people I somewhat know. I went to highschool for a few years with both of them -- and they seem to be gathering a whole lot of attention.

I start walking down the main hall in between everyone to get to them. I get to the balcony and one of them looks back and sees me. He smiles and invites me in. The others seem perturbed that I was invited so easily, and some even started to try and stop me, as if they were trying to protect a leader.
He shoos them off and asks me how I'm doing. I make chitchat for a while, and then ask: "so what is this all about?"
he gives me a blank smile

"What do you mean?

"I mean, what do you guys do?"

He looked around and they all laughed.
He put his arm around me and guided me out of the room and back down the main hall. He told me they were just enjoying the resort and having fun with friends.
As we reached the door he stopped me and said:
"Hey, I just remembered -- the owners have been working on a project underneath the resort for a while, and they are planning to announce it soon for everyone. It should be great fun. Tomorrow afternoon at the cafeteria, be there are 1:30 and you won't regret it!"
I gave him a confused look
He leaned in closer and whispered: "it's a ride!"
He patted me on the shoulder and walked back towards the main hall.
I left and went to carry on with my relaxation.
The next day I went to the cafeteria as asked and sure enough, there was a ride that was being opened. It was a sort of monorail ride that was supposed to go underneath the resort, into the natural caves that infested the ground below.
They started it up and everyone got in a line to get on board. It seemed that nearly everyone in the entire resort was in line!
Because of my friend's advice, I was one of the first 10 in liine. We were all handed a sort of sled that would somehow latch on to the monorail, allowing us to slide down it.
I watched as everyone in front of me got onto the sled and went down into darkness. I love these kinds of rides, so I was excited when it was my turn.
The ride was a disappointment at first. We went down a few steep slopes -- nothing to extreme, and some corners.
I was just getting bored when I saw a steep corner ahead. Right before I reached it, I heard a scream up ahead. I felt nervous and tense, so I gripped the sled from below to get a better grip for the corner.
I must have grabbed some part of the latch and released it somehow, because as soon as I hit the curve I flew off the rail, and tumbled into 2 or 3 feet deep of water on the cave floor.
I gained my footing and looked up -- the rail was up ontop of a ledge that was much too high for me to reach. I tried climbing but there was a continuos stream of water coming down from the ledge that kept me down.
The roar of the water and the screams of the riders were too loud for me to yell for help.
I looked around and saw some sort of pipes, and a service ladder.
I looked up the ladder and it led to some sort of metal walkway.
I figured this was my best way out for now so I climbed up and walked for a while.
The echoes of screams left me as I walked and I was worried that I was going too far, and that I wouldn't ever get out.
It was pitch black, there was still plenty of water dripping and pouring from holes on the wall and ceiling, and I was drenched.
Finally I found a ladder - and I was relieved to see the night sky above me as I climbed.
The ladder led to the middle of nowhere. I was in the wilderness.
I thought I heard the river -- the one that ran straight through the resort -- so I started walking in that direction. I was shivering hard and I was starting to get worried.
Suddenly I heard a noise - something running from my left. I quickly turned and saw a wolf pouncing at me.
I screamed and ducked and narrowly dodged it, and immediately started running and screaming for help.
I kept running -- looking for any sign of help -- and I found it: a distant light. It was obviously the resort. I was a long ways off.
I kept screaming, and the wolf kept chasing. I had to sometimes grab a stick and throw it at it to keep it away.
As I ran I could hear commotion down in the resort below, and I felt like I might make it.
All of a sudden I made it into a clearing.
I was at the top of a 20 foot drop straight into the river. The resort was right on the other side.
I could hear the wolf making for another attack behind me, so I jumped without thinking.
I hit the water hard, and my temperature dropped another 20 degrees or so.
I started trying to swim across the river, but the current was so strong it kept pushing me agains the shore.
I screamed so loud for help. Surely someone had to hear me
Someone did. 3 men appeared at the other side of the river and looked at me.
A second later one of the men started walking towards me -- he wasn't running -- which was odd.
I kept screaming as he started walking into the river. He was to his knees in the water when he said to me:
"so you're the one who has been causing all that ruccus."
I kept shouting for him to help, as I felt extremely weak.
"Don't worry, it'll be over soon"
his words all of a sudden made my lips quiet. I realized that something was off.
I was just realizing that he wasn't going to rescue me when he pulled out a gun and pointed at me.
I immediately ducked under the water and let the current pull me wherever it would. I heard gun shots.
I was terrified, but I kept my head under water for a good 30 seconds.
When I finally dared to raise my head, I had been swept at least 300 yards.
The water was weaker here, so I started swimming to the opposite shore to reach the resort.
I climbed up the bank and looked over it. It was different -- it was empty.
I was worried that those men would be there, so I snuck along the path until I reached my room. I got in through the window and immediately dried off and changed clothes.
I decided I better go investigate -- maybe everyone was at some special event.
Just as I said that a flash of light went through my window -- it was a flashlight about 30 yards away. I looked and I saw a group of people standing next to a truck and guiding people into the back.
I could see now that they were at the exit of the ride -- and that at the end of the ride, the people were emotionless- almost like zombies.
They were being led into the truck like cattle, and then driven off up to the main hall at the resort.
My mind immediately realized some sort of conspiracy. It seemed these people were gathering the riders of the monorail for some purpose -- what it was I don't know.
I ran out of the house and ducked behind a bush when I saw the 3 men who shot at me walking.
One of them said: "We're getting them all ready up at the main hall. The "ride" worked perfectly, and they are all ready for transformation. Our army will be ready soon enough."
Another looked at his phone and said to the others: "father wants us to head up to the main hall - we better go"
I followed them to the parking lot and watched as they got into a suburban and started driving off.
I ran to my car and followed.
We drove up a dirt path for a while that I wasn't aware of. I made sure to keep my lights off and keep my distance. It was pitch black outside by now -- I had been under the tunnels for longer than I had thought.
They reached the main hall and parked and walked inside. I parked a ways back and snuck around to look into the windows.
The room was full of alien looking pods. covered in goo and each one had a person in it.
I watched as some of them looked at the pods and talked. Another truckload of people had arrived and were being place into their own pods.
I couldn't look at it any longer, and snuck around to the back door that I had seen before. I creeped into one of the side rooms and found guns
lots of them.
I instinctually grabbed an Uzi and looked through the door into the main hall.
There were 5 men standing in a circle talking. I saw that the 2 men that I had gone to highschool with were there as well. They were in on it and seemed to be giving the orders.
They acted different -- like they weren't comfortable in their bodies, and kept making odd compulsive noises.
I felt a rage build up inside me as I realized that he had asked me to go to the ride so that I might also be zombified and put into one of these pods to be made part of his "army"
I rushed into the room and grabbed him from behind. I shot 2 of them before they coudl react and then pointed the uzi at his head.
the others stood back and grabbed their pistols. They looked at me and honestly looked scared.
Then it all stopped and I started having a wet dream.

the end.

Had a pretty bizarre dream two nights ago. My girlfriend told me the next morning that I had verbally verified that I was dreaming of nude men. She says she asked me "are you seeing naked men" and I answered "yes, lots of them".

It's a gift and a curse. Sometimes the dreams are so exhausting that I don't feel very rested when I wake up. Maybe they aren't dreams! :yikes:

Meditation. It increased my instances of lucid dreaming, and meditation caused my friend to have really vivid dreams. It also made me talk in my sleep a lot, though, so be forewarned about that.

Vitamin B6, I remember ages ago when I was reading about vitamins for bodybuilding and came across this. A simple Google search will return loads of articles about vitamin B6 and dreaming. Here are just a few:

Vitamin B6 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:

At least one preliminary study has found this vitamin may increase dream vividness or the ability to recall dreams.[27] This effect is possibly due to the role this vitamin plays in the conversion of tryptophan to serotonin.[27] Anecdotal evidence suggests supplemental vitamin B6 may be associated with lucid dreaming.

I think it's better to get it in food form, I've read a bunch of stuff online about vitamins being absorbed better that way and not in supplements, end up just passing them out in urine or whatever.

Maybe.

I have intense dreams every night, 3 or 4 of them, including recurring dreams that have been happening since I was about 13 and I think the reason for this is diet and exercise. Whenever I don't train, my sleep quality and thus dreaming suffer.

Lucky you. Last year I tried to learn, almost had my first lucid dream but woke up as soon as I realised I was dreaming, gave up after that. Couldn't be bothered with reality checks or journals.

Sounds like great fun though.

I have never had a lucid dream, only regular dreams. Lucid dreaming sounds like descending into a parallel universe of sorts.

Just remembered some I had last night. One was located at my old school and I had committed a crime of some sort (possible a bombing) and now had to get away through all the buildings. Each hall sized room had a new challenge to try and get past, think Crystal Maze but more brutal, swinging balls with spikes on you have to dodge etc... once outside I was in my city centre and there were camera crews from the local news around everywhere, police etc, no need to avoid these as I don't think they recognised me, that was the last I remember.

Then I had another where I was driving a car into a training ground not dissimilar to that of a Premier League football team. Upon arriving, many of my classmates from school were there, it felt a bit like a PE lesson. I kept picking fights on this one lad, who didn't want to fight. The location would change from this training ground, to my old assembly hall where I would do squats on stage, then to my house. Eventually the lad agreed to fight me and I cycled after him on a pedal bike, before crashing the bike and waking up.

I always have these chasing dreams, no idea why. I really enjoy them though.

I heard a really cool story once, I was watching a Youtube video from a guy who's channel is dedicated to lucid dreaming, and he said he knew of a married couple who could both become lucid in their dreams, I think they would meet up in their dreams and then the next day would talk about it and realise they were having the same dreams as each other and they were connected or something. So they decided one night to meet up in their dream and tell each other a secret word to see if they could connect to each other's dream, then write the word down when they woke up and see if it matched, and it did.

That is insanely amazing. I know that my boyfriend can have lucid dreams so if I ever master it, this would be cool to try with each other, lol!

I've never been on a plane, but I had a plane crash dream. Basically, my friend was going to Canada for some reason, and I was, for some reason, allowed on the plane to say goodbye to him. The plane, for all intents and purposes, seemed to have the interior of a house which flies. There were even bedrooms and stuff in it.

Anyway, he sees a stewardess walking past his bedroom with a cart, and is all, "Oh, man! I've always wanted to get something off of a cart from a stewardess! That is too cool!"

Then an announcement comes over the loudspeaker that all of the visitors need to leave the plane, so it can take off. I hugged my friend and tried to make my way to the exit, but I couldn't find one. I was wandering around this house plane, completely lost and frustrated. Finally, I ended up in the cockpit somehow, and the pilot was all, "Oh man, we're starting to takeoff right now, but if you run, you might be able to jump off before we leave the ground."

I ran, but when I got to the door, I was jolted, and knew we'd left the ground.

I went back to my friend's room on the plane, told him what happened, and he was stoked that I'd be able to hang out during the flight. It was then that I realized, with horror, that I didn't have a passport, so I was going to be FUCKED when the plane got to Canada.

Anyway, we were going along, and suddenly, hit some turbulence. The plane was bouncing around, and I was like, "Ohhh, ****. Is this normal?"

The pilot came over the loudspeaker, said, "We're going to have to make a crash landing...fasten your seatbelts."

I ran to a random row of seats that were in this house-like structure and put my seatbelt on. Then, suddenly, my range of vision was from outside the plane; I saw it skip across a few lakes like a rock before breaking in half and coming to a stop on a hillside in rural WV.

The impact was not at all realistic. It was about the jolt you get when you turn make a right turn too sharp on the road and bump the curb lightly with your wheel. No one was killed, or even injured.

We all got out of this smoking plane, and stood in the cold on this hillside with our cell phones out. I realized that I had work that day, and that I was going to get an occurrence because I was several hours late. I decided to call them, and wondered if they'd accept that I was in a major plane crash as a reason for not showing up to work.

Then, I saw NBC, ABC, and CBS helicopters circling like vultures, Matt Lauer parachuted down to interview the people in the crash...and I woke up because my damn alarm was going off.

^Crazy ****

Can't sleep, probably because I'm taking a break from the THC. I find when I don't smoke before I sleep I have more f'ed up dreams.

This past week...

I dreamt I was in a water park, and I was in a large pool. There was people all around me, although I never saw anyones face. There was a huge inflatable dragon slide that was being held up by rope, and there was a bunch of people going on at once. Sure enough, it got so crowded, that the rope snapped at the neck, and the whole thing came crashing down. Now, heres the ****ed up part, as soon as it hit the water, people were screaming inside, obviously trapped, getting trampled, and I could see handprints pressing against the slide. Sure enough, I looked around, and nobody was in the pool, everyone had disappeared. The slide then started to bounce up and down, like it was losing weight so it would be able to go back up since it was inflatable. This thing was massive, and for some reason, I couldn't move, and the damn thing was trying to crush me. Woke up soon after.

Another dream I remember which is a bit choppy, but parts are extremely memorable, almost as if it actually happened. I was with a weird guy, familiar but unrecognizable. He had a huge bag of cocaine, and told me to do some. I said no, never having done it in real life, but I found myself opening the bag and sticking my face in it. I saw myself do it, but afterwards I was back in my body, and I got the strangest, powerful, overwhelming sensation crawl up my spine, and it took over my body. I am not going to lie, it was rather pleasant. A bit foggy after that, but I remember being in a bar with my dad, and the bartender didn't believe I was 18 and asked for my ID, he looked at me and said, what's your phone number, I don't know why. I told her my cell phone number, my old house number, and my new house number until she said, alright, you are good to go it matches the one on the ID. Phone numbers aren't on IDs, and the phone numbers I gave were 100% real.

Craziest, and by far my all time favorite dream, I was standing outside my old complex. Everything was exactly as it looks. I spread my arms, and started floating. As soon as I realized I could control it, I was on the verge of tears. I was flying, hovering, whatever you want to call it. I could go left, right, up, down, complete control, and it was amazing. I hovered over the highway, which is at rock throwing distance, and back to the roof of my complex. I kept going higher and higher, and I looked down at the roof. After that it's just a blur. The following day after I had woken up, I went on google maps and looked at the roof of the same complex, everything I saw was identical, the shape of the tiles, the location of the vents, the peaks, this is a three story building with no roof access, it freaked me out in the most intriguing way.

Last night, I dreamed I was going back home to live with my mom (kind of in a living situation right now) and this morning I got a call from her asking if I wanted to move back in.

My lucid dreams are getting more real, apparently keeping a dream journal helps out, writing this makes me want to write all of my dreams down. I have a feeling I'll have a crazy dream tonight, if I ever go to sleep, maybe it's the insomnia. I remember dreams from the past, but I want to keep it recent.(Although being a lightsaber dueling lego was pretty ****ing cool if you ask me, it was hard to walk with your feet getting stuck to ground, as it was too lego. I remember beheading someone as well)
**** i should get some sleep

I had a very strange dream the other night. I dreamt that I was at work and I looked on a loan that just came in and realized that we were funding a loan for Jandek and John Fahey. The information on the loan said that they needed $800,000 for a house that they were going to burn down for a field recording to hear how fire sounds. It was very controversial and the news was covering it because people thought that it was pretentious, dangerous and wasteful.

About a half hour later, I saw Jandek and John Fahey being led in by my mother, who also works at the office. I say hi to my mom and she introduces them to me because she recognized him from a cd that I left in the car that she was confused about until she figured out it was mine.

Then they told us to wait and Jandek and Fahey come in with this insane instrument with two resonating type of silver gourds or something connected by a sitar like neck. They both played it at once and it was crazy. My dream ended there.

The really weird part about it is that my friend told me about an instrument that he saw in a cool music video and it looked exactly like the one in my dream but with different gourd-bodies. Here it is:

That blew my mind when I first saw that and recognized it even though I'd never seen it before. The action starts at about 2:49.

I've been having really strange dreams over the last few weeks. Last night I dreamt that I was getting married. Not to my boyfriend, but to a complete stranger. A guy I have never seen before in my life. Apparently everybody at the wedding (my family and friends) all knew him really well and said we'd been together for a long time. WTFFFFF.

So I ended up marrying this strange guy and we went on a honeymoon to Hawaii. This where the dream gets really messed up. When we were on the beach, the strange husband went for a swim and another guy walked up to me - my real-life boyfriend. He sat down next to me and said "You shouldn't have married that guy. He can't give you what you want in life. You should dump him and marry me instead."

That's when I woke up, but it creeped the **** out of me.

Last night, one of my mini-dreams involved hanging out with Trevor Mbakwe, driving to Taco Bell in my car. Today, Minnesota upset #1 seed Indiana, led by Trevor Mbakwe.

Coincidence? I think not. I would not go to Taco Bell with someone who'd not upset Indiana.

I just have to share.
I was a legless dachshund, going door to door in an old "commie block" apartment building, trying to sell people insurance or the horse that followed me around, as a pet. A moment after I woke up I remembered some extra details but even then this lacked any context.
I woke up confused, it's been 7 or so hours and I still am. I hope it's not permanent.

I've just come up with an arbitrary hypothesis. Maybe it's impossible to find your way out of this or that or escape this or that in a dream, not necessarily because you're scared or obsessed with something but just because when you're concentrating on going somewhere in a dream that you're spending all your time thinking of moving and not about where it is that you're going and so your brain just keeps you where you are, cause the only place it has any info on is where you currently are.

I've been having recurring dreams that I am cheating on my boyfriend with a guy who's in one of my classes at school. They are not intensely sexual or anything but it's obvious there is something going on between me and this guy in the dreams. Occasionally my boyfriend appears in the dreams but I can't seem to clear my guilty conscience with him.

I'm guessing it means something, since I keep dreaming about this, but I'm not exactly sure what.
