I think this is a really awesome idea, I think it might make MB a little less spammed if there is a place to have intelligent conversation whether it be movies or politics. I am a keen movie fan myself but I can't exactly show this with one thread asking for a favourite movie.

Thats the one problem I have with the lounge , due to the random nature of it even if there was a thread in there chances are it would have little discussion & lots of spamming just due to it being in the lounge, which is why I think a seperate movie,tv & books forum would help.

yes books. nobody ever discusses books in this forum. we should especially discuss music books.

^ Agreed. I am a keen reader too.

More sub forums means better conversations and it's easier to get to know people.

Not saying are going to do it Myspace styles.

Frankly I think that there needs to be no Lounge at all IMO. I joined here to talk about music and yesterday, I see that barely anyone has commented in any of the music forums that i regularly check out. I find that about everybody is at the lounge talking about random things like "the arguments thread" and "who is the sexiest member?". I think most times people forget that this is called musicbanter, the music forum.

thats so true. well go post in the folk section as it needs to grow. also we need a jack kerouac sub forum. if you dont' know who he is then you don't belong in the jack kerouac sub forum. nuff said

The lounge shouldnt go, but half these threads are just stupid in here now and it seems like their just made for the sake of being made.
