You get make a music forum it`s bound to be full of teenage kids who just like a few bands going there & just trying to whore for popularity.

You can either accomodate it , or you can get rid of it.

If you want to have serious discussion in anything you can`t do it in a forum where all those kids hang out.Which is where my suggestion come in. Let them do that in the lounge & make it unmoderated & have a proper off topic forum somewhere else away from all that.
