2007 draft

i have heard from one of my teachers that the recruitment for the army has seriously plummeted... effect - possible draft. thats awesome finally something interesting. I think this is the bottle neck of the war and it will get worst. The U.S. is trying to bully those little middle eastern countries like the nazis that tried to bully the minorities. The status quo of the U.S. is that we are the best and the most powerful, the same ideals that the nazis had. to add a little support to opinion Iran wants nuclear power and the U.S. is telling them no, with no authority or for the most part jurisdiction to deny Iran that. effect - The U.S. is cut off for oil. I cant wait to see whats next.

Your teacher is retarded and the draft will not happen this decade...if ever in the near future (like 10-20 years...I can't even guess after that).

The administration knows that if they attempt a draft they will face down the impeachment process. This isn't WWII. The thought that people support this enough to hold a draft is absurd.

Draft results in uproar and violent action. 'Nam showed people that the democracy rests squarely in the hands of the people.

Doubtful. The administration would need the approval of Congress to get a draft going, so why would they approve the draft and then impeach him?

But you are on the right trail. Any adminstration that puts the draft in will pretty much result in the downfall of their party for the next 30-40 years.

thats wrong. did you learn that from the text books you have read? every body has a biase and the text books are biased to be pro america. every book has a biase and people have to look outside of the box and take in all the facts.

dont be scared

crimepartner 01-26-2006 08:50 PM

the draft is doubful since the country is split between pro america and anti war, but yet the us gov has invaded iraq without the peoples "majority say"... that is called majoritarian NOT democracy. In a majoritarian policy the majority controls what happens.. example - 6 people in a car. 4 want pizza 2 want hot dogs. they get pizza...

IamAlejo 01-26-2006 08:50 PM

You are wrong. It's okay.

I'm supposedly reading "pro american books" yet you are taking the word of your Government-paid teacher.

ooooooooooooooookay.

A draft is a last resort option, i don't see it happening within the next ten years honestly.

Sorry, you are wrong crimepartner. Why don't you come up with your own thoughts instead of recycling crap you hear from your high school history teacher.

Secondly, nothing the other members brought up has ANYTHING to do with bias. You can't even spell bias, let alone talk about it intelligently. Why don't you tell us some facts?

Every powerful empire in history has had the idea (usually the FACT) that they are the best and most powerful, would you like to know why? Because they are. Right now, America is the most powerful nation in the world. It's not bragging. It's not us thinking we are better because we are most powerful. It is the simple fact that we are the most powerful. I like how you tried to tie us in with the Nazis, good job sucking at life.

Take your pseudo-intellectualism and get the hell out of here. You can't even defend your side of the argument with any credibility. You might want to wait until you have high school history again so you can tell us what your lower-middle class teacher thinks about his place in society. I hate people like you. Please, jump off of a bridge.
