i think you have to have an .avi file saved to your comp already. then you right click, go to open with, & theres a little thing at the bottom that says choose program. then that should pop up with a bunch of different programs you can use to play that file. you click on whatever you want to be your default player & there should be a little check box at the bottom that says "always use this program when playing these types of files" or somewhat. at least thats what it is on my comp, you may have something different. i think thats right though.
