I thought Saw was ok. Not great, not terrible. A solid 8.

Props to all who have mentioned Se7en, fantastic movie that I forgot about.

Saw but now Saw 2. Saw was better in my opinion.

I liked them both, but I do think that Saw was better. Though don't take this to mean that saw 2 was rubbish. It was great as well, but when it comes to a truly great horror movie, Saw definitly wins it. Saw 2 is still worth a watch though, it certainly beats most of the other movies that are out now.

You all realize Saw is just Se7en without the plot?

I said earlier that Saw and Se7en were extremely similar.
But Saw has just as much of a plot as Se7en does. Serial Killer, puts people in situations to test their will to live. Serial killer lashes out at people who are commiting the seven deadly sins in extreme ways. The only ways that they are similar is
1. Both serial killers
2. They kill in ironic ways (like, the girl who slits her wrists, has to cut off her hands to survive, and if I remember correctly, the guy who was a glutton was pumped so full of food till he died.......tis been a while since I saw Se7en)

Either way they are both good movies

It's been a few years since I've seen it, but if I remember correctly he also has to cut out and perhaps eat a pound of his own flesh.
