I agree with the first part.

Actually, the life lessons I actually use are trite and cliche, but thats only because they've seen the repetition that only comes with truthfulness.

1. it's not how well you ride the horse, but how you get back on when throw. No champion was ever made by winning all the time. Failure is the path to victory.

2. This led zep lyric actually pulls me through alot: "Yes there are two paths you can go back, but in the long run, theres still time to change the road you're on"

That's a good one. Another one I've learnt is:

Do the best you can do, in whatever you do. If you do this then any obstacles or failures you encounter will truly be educational. You won't be able to make excuses and you'll find out what your abilities and weaknesses are. If you do everything half-assed you'll never really learn from it.

i hate it when stuff like that happens. when your in a situation and need help someone to guid you maybe so the hurt doesn't happen so much.. and nothing/no one is there to help and you get hurt.. then a while later the help was there just hard to find..

NO ONE IS EVER THERE RIGHT WHEN YOU NEED THEM SO KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN AND NEVER NO MATTER HOW PAINFUL, NEVER CLOSE OFF YOUR HEART.. THE RIGHT PERSON IS OUT THERE... (wait nevermind close your heart off.. you'll know when you meet the right person.. when you find your heart opening up for them.. but then again if you open your heart to just anyone you will maybe find yourself more hurt then before cause you thought this person was the one cause your heart opened itself up to them and then when something bad happenes its like the end of the world)

if you don't put your heart on the line you'll never fall in love. even if you get hurt in the end, in time once your able to move on into another relationship you will know how to go about things better, but never ever close off your heart to the person you'd be with.. cause then it will be you just repetting the hurt that you felt just in a different way.

don't let yourself get too comfortable in the depressing feeling cause once you want to be happy with someone you'll do everything to make it a bad relationship cause on the inside yoour used to feeling depressed and thats where your comfortable so someone making you happy is clearly making you happy and bringing you out of the depressing rut, so let it happen, don't let the back of your mind take over the happy feelings.. or you'll ruin the relationship without even knowing your doing it.

EDIT: thinking toooooooooooooo much
