god, i just imagined what it would be like if we all met some place
like a huge reunion thing-like

i mean, considering we're all from different sides of the globe and all. and we're all so different, yet we spend so much time on this site

just thought i'd make a thread about it :)

A trip, to say the least! Luckily we all know English, but the accents would be a good laugh! I think it'd be cool, next to impossible to pull off, but a cool thought.

ive definetely thought about that before & how totally awesome it would be
if half the people here didnt live across the freaking globe it might be a possibility

Wouldn't it be cool if MB held a concert consisting entirely of the members' bands? Like False Advertising, Jodi Lee Parker etc.

i would like that to,display diferent culture and such too, if we have on can i wear a kimono?

i think doing that would be loads of fun, and people would be attracted to people who they would never think of.. it would be interesting to see how we would all act in person around each other... see how much people's personalities change for better and worse in person.. i've thought about this before, but these types of things never really happen...

Hey I'd go place to meet people, but (and I mean no offence by this) I wouldn't want to meet you if you're under a certain age. I mean, theres a certain stigma to meeting people over the internet that are much much younger than you.

I think that stigma is there for a reason.

agreed, cause if even the meetings are just about being friends and nothing more.. it can still for some odd reason be creepy in a sense.

I wouldn't go out to meet any of you. On a one-to-one basis. That would be creepy. Unless you were Edge, Vanilla or EIMP.:pimp:

It defeats the whole idea of the internet. Who really wants to meet some ugly hoes with no confidence like explosions-on-her-face et cetera.

Would be cool though, I wonder if people would be as angst if you met them in person and had to own up to being that way.

i think some people wouldn't meet other people in fear of therm not being who they know(n) on the internet, fear that the person won't be as attractive with words.. with there minds... i honestly think people come off almost completely different over this.

I have to disagree here. I really get a feel for an individuals personality on MB.
Obviously it takes a while to get used to a persons vibe and an understanding of where it is they are coming from.
If I was to read a post without knowing who posted it, I think I could recognise the individual just by their style of writing.

For example, an Urban post would be very different from Crowquill's.
Merkaba's from a MURDER JUNKIE post would be easy to spot.

If I was to meet hiu in person, I doubt we'd have much in common, as opposed to adidasss, who I think I'd get on quite well with.

My wife posts on a forum of hers and the members (all women) meet on occasions and she says they turn out to be very similar to the people she imagines them to be.

If you lot weren't such an argumentative shower of bastards, then meeting some of you in the real world might even be a pleasure. :beer:

Yes I think a forum is rather indicative of a persons personality. Not so much in the music forums where we're always going hammer and tongs with each other but in the lounge you're able to get a fairly good gauge on people.

Theres a wealth of comical people here. And not only are they funny but they're bloody nice when it comes down to it too. I even find TheBig3KilledMyRainDog to be fairly sedate and pretty kind these days;)

this reunion thing sounds cool just as long as i don't have to travel much further than france i'm up for it, lets all congrigate in france...i hear they serve beer in mcdonalds and that's something you just have to experience yourself or lets go to malta im pretty sure i can legally buy mcdonalds beer there...

See the thing is , whenever I go out to a get together or a meal or somewhere 10 times out of 10 I always end up sitting next to the biggest prick there.

I just know if any of this did actually happen i`d be the poor bastard who had to sit next to him & slowly get drunk being bored to death about how wonderful Dream Theater are.
