Tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, chimichangas, churros, guacamole, and salsa are all Mexican.

I've always wanted to try English food, I've heard it's pretty awful. But then again, American food isn't that great either.

I've heard of all of them except for churros, I'm not as ignorant as I first thought. But the only one I've had is Fajitas

English food is pretty decent, depends what you're thinking about trying?

Tbh I wouldn't know where to start if I had the opportunity. The puddings and a fair amount of the sausages sound pretty awful, but the 10 billion varieties of chips sound interesting to me.

A friend of mine went over a few years ago and lost 10 pounds in a week because she hated the food. I'm kind of wondering what could've been that bad to turn her off of food altogether, I doubt English cuisine is all that bad.

Sausage & Mash, Sunday roast and a cottage pie is about it... if you don't like that, then you don't eat.

And your friend... what? Why didn't she just have Italian food, or Chinese, of American while she was here? We have all sorts of different foods. Surely she's just being a drama queen?

Being a drama queen is definetely a possibility. She IS a bit picky.

She called me from a McDonald's her first day there to complain about the fries and Filet-O-Fishes being fried in the same oil. I don't really think that's standard protocol, but she made a huge deal about it.

Cottage pie actually looks really, really good. I love mashed potatoes.

One of the things I miss about living in California is the availability of good Mexican food. 4 years here in Tennessee and so far I've only found 2 worth my money.

Damn, that sucks. There's literally three Mexican places on my block. Two of them are amazing ($6 vegetarian burritos the length of your forearm), one is mediocre.

I also live within walking distance of 5 bars, 3 "massage" parlors, 1 convenience store, 2 diners, and one tiny Greek place with amazing baklava.

Coincidentally, my city sucks.
