wow, i have to say that was the best canada day ever. i'm on the other end of the earth, and i've never experienced a better canada day party than the one we just held last night.

we held it at the farm where a friend of mine is living for the season, about 10 minutes drive out of town, and decorated the hell out of the barn with a ton of decorations that my mom sent over. we had something like 10 flags, canadian streamers EVERYWHERE, canadian beach balls kicking around the place, canadian flag tatoos everyone and on everyone's faces, tons of canadian club whiskey, tim hortons coffee, and we even made poutine. pretty much the entire town showed up to this party, and EVERYONE was so stoked on the decorations and how sweet the party was, everyone was in such a great mood, and all night long it was 'HEY! HAPPY CANADA DAY! WHERE ARE YOU FROM?!" i had no idea there were so many canadians in wanaka, there was 6 or 7 guys who were from calgary too, it was amazing. tons of people there were kiwis or from other parts of the world, but they were all so happy to be there, and i think were really surprised at how all out we went on the celebrations. no one got really rowdy or anything, everyone was really happy and in a good mood, no fights or problems whatsoever, it was rgeat. we all DEFINITELY did our country proud. last night concluded the weekend long celebrations, first night on saturday night at the bar, july 1st over here, and then last night to celebrate when all the canadians back home would be celebrating. it's been awesome, i keep seeing people walking around town with canadian flag tattoos still on their faces, i love it

Alcohol is a depressant and alters your state of consciousness. people who are drunk can't tense up because a good deal of their brain slows down (reacts slowly) or stops working at all.
If you drink and drive, the chances of you getting into a car accident and becoming brain dead are increased because of your current mentality. It's something of a defense mechanism.

Drunks don't just go with the flow of an accident. They just can't work up their muscles to react to what's happening around them.

It's also bad to drive drunk because you are endangering not only your life, but also others that you have to share the road with.

It really isn't such a great idea.
