The Simpsons has lost its edge
Family Guy is still good
InuYasha airs on adult swim and if you watch it on Cartoon Network, you're getting the edited version.
And most of what's on Adult Swim is anime and it's either crap anime or good anime that has been watered down.
Evaneglion, is an amazing anime. On Adult Swim, they edited so much. Half the plot is missing from a good deal of the episodes.
Samurai Champloo is good. But if you were to watch it in Japan, there'd be fewer commercials and the character's voices would sound a lot better.

the simpsons have lost it a bit, but the classics are still good, Evanenglion i noticed that they edited a lot of stuff out, most are edited, americans cant get away with much when it comes to cable tv, do they still edit Inuyasha on the dvds

The InuYasha stuff I have isn't edited. But I don't buy my anime in America. I get in Japan.

And Evangelion was edited for nudity and even more so for the episode where some homosexuality plays a mjor role. I don't follow it on Adult Swim cause i've already seen it, so i couldn't tell you how many more episodes you'd have to watch before you get tot hat part.
but i'm not a big fan of Evenglion anyway.

And InuYasha is everything. It's an anime, a manga, he's got his own freaking cereal. He's got posters, bookbags, make up, the works. He did for Japan what the Olsen twins did for America.

Evenglion, the plot was hard to follow, so i figured there was a lot of stuff missing, you got to see them in japan, i am stuck with adult swim, i get what i can, what about Full Metal Alchemist, i really got turned on to that do to the fact that it was partly made by Square Enix

Anime isn't even too much my thign any more
The only thing I go to japan fo nowadays is for work or concerts. I dont' even visit my family all the time much less watch anime.

But Um. . Full Metal Alchemist isn't edited too much. If it is it's probably because of all the cursing.
And Evangelion even without editing, it's sometimes hard tof ollow because you've got at least three major plots going on.
And the characters are always so damn cryptic anyhow. It boggles the mind.

Stick with the action anime and you've got good plot, and some amazing fight scenes
I'mt laking Yuu Yuu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Immortal Blade (which i highly recommend), Dual, Ninja Scrolls, Ranma 1/2 (it's funny too). and perhaps MD Geist. although you'd probably have to find a place that sells the movie because Cartoon Network would neevr ever air this. It's got a lot of nudity, it's got so much foul language. Thank of Rambo and then think of Md Geist. That's how bad it is.
