I didn't know you were British. Now I've got even more of a reason to come to your house and kick the **** out of you ;)

I could never see the point in exams or university. I left school at 15 and went straight into a job, but all the "I'm gonna go to university and better myself" lot I went to school with are mostly on the dole.
Just an observation. |
agreed. & at the risk of sounding like those military enlisting adverts, it is actually the experience that counts.
all the exams show is that you have the ability to learn, i guess. ohwell, im far too lazy to get out into the real world yet, im happy here. |
Exackery, my brother can give you a detailed description on paper of how to do something, but when it comes to the practical side, he's shafted.
It took him 18 goes before he passed his practical drivers licence and even now he still cannot change a flat tyre. |
aha.. alternate word uses.. pfft standaedized tests are easy, wot you have to worry about over here a shihte teachers who know nothing or little about the subject they are teaching.
|
Oeh this reminds me of something. When I'm finished with school in Holland, I want to go to a university in London. Are there any? And do you get a pass which enables you to use the transport cheaper? Cuz it's like that over here.
|
there are alot of universities in london!
im not sure about London travel passes, but living and studying in London is EXPENSIVE (rent can be almost 4 times the rent in places like manchester). id recommend saving some cash and looking at other big cities. Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds... all have ace universities, awesome shopping, awesome nightlife and their share of job opportunities. unless you want to do Law... then London is a good option. |
My older brother is going to a uni in London, but it sounds awful because you're not allowed alcohol on the grounds.
|
hahahaha that sucks.
my uni campus has 13 cheap bars. ooh yeah. |
