Yes, I've shared many a similar experience. She also doesn't understand that updating your every move means that people know when you're not home, and greatly increases the odds that you'll be robbed.

haha.

I feel the pain, too. I had an ex who was always being pushed by her "best friends" to break up with me simply because I didn't hold to the same standards of life they held to. Mine were generally better.

She would often post "What am I going to do with you, [my name]" or something like that. Her friends would leave the oh so predictable

"break up wit him"

"end it"

So she finally did...over facebook. Her last status update for that day was:

"What do I do now?"

I simply left a comment saying "Go make a sandwich."

Which, of course, sparked a whole new controversy surrounding my male elitism. Which is totally nonexistant, by the way. I was just being a douche.

As a female, I would never, ever post statuses like that about my partner or friends even! That's horrible I've seen people do this, though.

How would you feel about nice statuses being posted about you though? Still a dealbreaker?

It's ridiculous the kinds of idiotic things people post on Facebook. I don't enjoy reading about people's personal problems or their childish vents. It's worse when they mention me or people I know in their tripe, or thinly veil what they're talking about when everybody knows what they mean. And then you have people who actually get upset when I don't chat with them or like their status or whatever.

What about when people put the fact that they are on holiday on there? I'll admit that i've done this in the past, without really thinking about what it was I was doing.

But some people post where they are, how long they will be away, when they are getting back etc.

Haha yea. I think if people have personal problems they should call someone or talk to the person they are having a problem with. They don't need to air their dirty laundry in public. It's like Jerry Springer for internet.

This whole "like this and i'll post what I like about you" thing is really popular right now. Needless to say I jumped on the bandwagon.
