I pretty much deleted my facebook because I don't really have any friends these days, and all I do is work and feel bad for not having friends. I don't need a constant reminder that no one seems to pay attention to anything I post because I have no actual friends anymore. Being on Facebook makes me feel so alone...

I will add you! Primary reason for myself being on FB is that my family don't live near so we can stay in touch. Apparently texts don't work!

My relationship with my Fb account is complicated.

First, i got not mask to hide in..
No alter ego to express my crazy thoughts.

That's the real me in FB, real name and address so i can't be really as free as i am here.

Second, im on puertorican FB, meaning i have to keep in mind the mindset of all my local friends and family so while i am a drug user i don't post pro drug stuff cause like plankton said, it reflects bad on my family who don't support my lifestyle they just tolerate it.

i barely use FB cause im not a selfie type of guy, i honestly use FB for like 7 or 8 friends i have that are really interesting ppl, i check their article links and debate them, basically i use FB like i use a forum but with friends i know irl.

That is why people have more than one account so they can post more freely away from their family network.

you can hide things from family or certain ppl or groups in the privacy settings

It is safer that way than always trying to remember to only select certain people to see certain posts. You can just be free and post whatever the hell you want.

I just deleted mine, I never went on it that much in the first place. Plus there were people on the last forum i frequented who were trying desperately to get my personal info so they could get me fired. Meh, I don't get a huge kick out of social media anyways.

Well apparently I am a bad father because I have been 'boasting' about having a few drinks and attending gigs and leaving my kids alone. They are 15 and 20 BTW and my best friend has done more than both my sides of the family in keeping me sane and occupied, paid for virtually every gig and expense and lives in another country!

Rather ironic when I find out that it is a close family member bitching about this who has never been in touch on FB or IRL to offer support in any shape or form since I was widowed just over 2 years ago.

I have kept my sons and I in pretty good shape considering I hold down a full time job with unsociable hours along with being a single father on a low wage as well as sleeping on a sofa all that time. No turning to crime, dropping out of school, drug use or generally going off the rails for any of us!

Dude **** those stepford robots. Your kids are grown ass adults, I'd be more likely to judge someone for hawking over them at that age.

Although I would make them get jobs and pitch in if they want a free roof over their heads, as they are indeed men now.

I never understood people who do that. Like why are they so concerned about getting a random stranger on the internet fired?
