London

Let's make a list of things for my to do when I go to London on Wednesday.

I am going to meet Courtney Love so decided to stay a few extra days for fun.

So far, I am going to a few gigs, to the original Vivienne Westwood Shop, the big museum and I have no idea what else.

Help?!

adidasss 11-17-2006 03:57 PM

have you ever been there before?

bruise_violet 11-17-2006 04:07 PM

Yeah about 5 years ago. I went on the Eye and to the Tower thats about it.

I am also going to the Tate when I am there!

Sound Devastation 11-17-2006 04:19 PM

The Tate modern is definately worth a visit.

otherwise... id recommend popping into my third favourite record shop in the country.. Sister Ray, which is in Soho (just off oxford street).

and the Camden markets are always good fun.

bruise_violet 11-17-2006 04:21 PM

Yeah we are going to Camden :)

I am very excited!

right-track 11-18-2006 03:24 AM

Can't believe you never flown before.
Places to visit...Clapham Common, Streatham Park or any random park after nightfall...opportunity knocks Marijan. ;)

See all the sights. Tower of London etc. The Imperial War Museum is worth a visit.
Brixton.

Places to avoid...Emirates Stadium. (yes MJ I saw your post).
Don't carry a rucksac on the Tube...unless you want executing by the friendly London police.
Hackney.

Get a train down to Brighton it`s only about 45mins on the train from London and I`m sure you`ll find the guys there only too happy to accomodate you.
My sister lived there for 3 years I`m sure she`d tell you the best places to go.

I deleted the post because my geography of England is almost zero, I almost purchased 2 stadium seats from Highbury in the auction but the shipping was 4 times the price of the seats.

BTW January 21, your number is up

Y'all should come to London Ontario for New Years, London England is a cesspool compared to the L-dot O-dot.

MJ will show ya a good time ;)

So...lets think about this.

You didn't buy the tickets because the cost of getting them to you in Canada, was too expensive.

Why in Gods name didn't you just pick up thre tickets in England, on the day of the match?

No bloody wonder your an Arse fan! ;)

MURDER JUNKIE 11-18-2006 04:17 PM

NO, YOU DAFT MANC ;)

actual stadium chairs ripped out of Highbury, they are actioning off the remenants of the stadium

Alo 11-18-2006 04:32 PM

If the Kandinsky exposition is still in the Tate, go there! And if you have the time to go see les miserables, or canterbury tales, do it! You can fin cheaper places close to (i think it was) piccadily circus. There are stands everywhere!

And skip notting hill, it's not nearly as nice as it sounds...

Thanks for the idea MJ...wanna buy some genuine Highbury turf? ;)

*starts small business, reproducing fake stadium chairs to sell to gullible Canadian Arsenal fans*

5 things I would do:
. London Dungeons
. Highgate Cemetary (the only "vampyre case" in Britian that has been classified as valid.
. Camden
. Hyde Park (so relaxing"
Leicester Square (for nightlife)

MoonlitSunshine 11-19-2006 04:21 AM

Adidasss, you're flying with Ryanair? from Croatia? good god, you'll be lucky to arrive in one piece.

That's patriotism for ya...

right-track 11-19-2006 04:34 AM

^ That's what I thought too...but I didn't wanna worry him.

adidasss 11-19-2006 04:50 AM

MoonlitSunshine 11-20-2006 10:46 AM

hahaha they're not that bad, they're just notorious for doing as little as possible, rushing jobs, huge delays and spending as little money as possible, and not really caring at all about their passengers comfort. It probably won't be the best of flights by anyone's standards, but don't take it as an average flight you'll always get, just one you'll always get from Ryanair :D

adidasss 11-20-2006 12:02 PM

hey man, for 15 quid per ticket, i'll suffer a little discomfort during a 2 hour flight...it takes more time for me to go back home with a bus...

MoonlitSunshine 11-20-2006 12:13 PM

Yeah, that is the bonus about Ryanair! I wish you a good flight anyway, And try not to die... I've been told is isn't fun, dying

right-track 11-20-2006 01:08 PM

So have you got anywhere in mind that is a must see for you?
While your there, you need to catch a gig...

[MERIT] 11-20-2006 01:37 PM

Isnt there a famous wax museum in London as well?

blackTshirt 11-20-2006 01:52 PM

Madame Tussaud's?
