Questions!

I created this thread to give anyone who has a question a place to ask it.
This can be a place where newcomers ask questions such as "how do I get an avatar" or it can be for any question that you have for someone else, but it would be too off topic to put any where else.

I'll start.

right-track:
Your user title says "Working Class Hero"
is that a reference to the John Lennon song?

ps: cheeseman, i love your sig

Yes it is, that and the fact I'm a working class Mancunian in a shite job.

So it serves two purposes ...one, I love the song and two I find it ironic as I hate work. (who doesn't?)

Couple for you bungalowbill...what's the 357 for after your user name and are you American or Australian?

Merkaba 01-02-2006 03:14 PM

Cool idea bungalowbill.

Question! Whats with the Bungalow bit? And is your name bill?

And Riseagainstrocks, do you still think Rise Against rocks?

mosesandtherubberducky 01-02-2006 03:20 PM

Where do babies come from?

bungalow 01-02-2006 03:44 PM

^That isnt the kind of questions I meant

Ok

The "357" bit is because, everywhere I go, I always try to register as "BungalowBill" but, at most places it is taken. So, I added 357 so that no matter where I go, that is always my username. It is my AIM, and all other forum usernames of mine.

Im American

And
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill is a Beatles song that I find amusing, so that is where "bungalowbill" comes from" And My Name is Alex =)

yes and no. I made the name before Siren Song of the Counter Culture came out. they were a 10 back then. The newer cd isn't very good. So they're an 8.

They rock, just not as much as they once did.

mosesandtherubberducky 01-02-2006 05:31 PM

Question!

What is Zach De La Rocha up to now?

and

How long can a guy grow his hair before it is too long?

AND

Merkaba, what does your name mean?

bungalow 01-02-2006 07:14 PM

I cant get the music player to work on myspace.

illusion 01-02-2006 07:20 PM

bungalow 01-02-2006 07:28 PM

Another question.
Can everyone read my sig.
Or does it look like a bunch of boxes?

illusion 01-02-2006 07:38 PM

I can read it fine,

The Sound
Of Lonlieness
Makes Me
Happier

bungalow 01-02-2006 07:41 PM

Are all of the fonts different?

illusion 01-02-2006 07:45 PM

The Sound
Of Lonlieness

Makes Me
Happier

Or something like that

bungalow 01-02-2006 08:00 PM

Really.
That sucks.
On mine the fonts are completely different
They dont even resemble each other.
Oh well

mosesandtherubberducky 01-02-2006 08:02 PM

Is it just me or are computers evil? I just spent all day doing what someone told me was easy and I just now installed the finished product. Alex don't ask for this one. It will give you a head ache and you will have to download like 4 different programs to get it.

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 01-02-2006 08:42 PM

i would like to know where hookers came up with his username. and also....why do old threads get bumped sometimes...even when there are no new posts?

Merkaba 01-02-2006 08:58 PM

You'll notice all the threads that magically get bumped have polls in them. So someone votes and it automatically counts as a post, therefore coming to the top of the threads again. So you don't have to make an actual post for the thread to come back!

Definition of my name: The Mer-ka-ba is the interdimensional vehicle depicted by Buddhist and other Eastern religions (also said by some to be mentioned in the bible by Ezekiel). This craft made of counter rotating fields of light is capable of carrying the consciouseness directly to higher dimensions. The merkaba is a product of breathing "prana" (or energy [the source, akasha, God, Buddah, Allah, Mother Nature]) and careful meditation....

Basically it is a form of enlightenment through breathing. Breathing is good.

Computers are indeed very evil! Try to avoid contact with them where possible.

bungalow 01-02-2006 11:05 PM

To: Big3

Where did you come up with your username?

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 01-02-2006 11:12 PM

do a forum search...theres a thread on that.

bungalow 01-02-2006 11:16 PM

I cannot find it.
Big3 isnt speaking to me though.

EDIT: Well, in another thread, Big3 just said that that thread was deleted.
Will you please explain it Big3

I don't remember. But it is awfully close to The Cramps' song "Bikini Girls With Machineguns". I guess I rather be called "hookers" than "bikini". Naturally.

Merkaba, I always assumed you were a Tool fan, in reference to the song with the same name. Am I ..right?

Merkaba 01-03-2006 12:20 AM

About 75%. Tis where I first heard it, and I didn't think much of it other then wondering what it meant. So then I looked into it and found out it was to do with the whole Mind-body thing and quite liked the sound of it.

Ha.

Proper breathing though. Theres everyday breathing which happens on a subconscious level which we all do, but then you can concentrate on breathing which can stimulate mind and body. More so then a can of Red Bull:p:

I gave up my car when gas prices rose about a buck.50 over night. I filled up once more, took my cr off the road, and take public tranist, walk or ride everywhere. Im the unintentional ecologist.

I sued to drive a Nissan Altima, it was a stick and I loved her. Open highway, windows down, good music. Thats what Heaven is, a long drive with the wind in your hair good music, and an ass that never goes numb.

Merkaba 01-03-2006 12:29 AM

Wrong thread is it big3?

You sued? I guess I would have too if I had to drive a Nissan:tramp:

TheBig3 01-03-2006 12:35 AM

Is this the wrong thread? What the hell, whatever anyway, now you know, and hey man, the car was gas cost effective and invincible. Plus I don't know **** about cars.

ive always assumed the same thing. though ive never heard him mention it.

MURDER JUNKIE 01-03-2006 01:04 AM

How do I change my username?? I grow weary of the Murder Junkie handle and desire something with a little more substance. I have 2 known aliases, which do you guys prefer?

Dirtdaddypimpslap or Stabmaster Arson?

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 01-03-2006 01:05 AM

i like the one youve got. its much better than the other two.

MURDER JUNKIE 01-03-2006 01:11 AM

Any other messageboards that I belong to I use 1 of the other 2. This is the only one that is different so it feels kind of alien to me

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 01-03-2006 01:16 AM

yeah...sure. but people already know you as the one youre using. thats the way i see it anyways. besides....if youre contributing, which you are, and you dont have a completely stupid or cliche username, which you dont...then people dont care what youre username is. thats why i dont see why misfits wanted to change his so bad.

Cheese 01-03-2006 01:18 AM

I don't care all that much for my username.I'm still working on a new one.

TheBig3 01-03-2006 01:26 AM

Well people join up here, not knowing this is really a place where stuff happens. There is intelligent conversation here, and so when they throw a name together, their probably not planning on staying I'd assume.

Your name seems less important to me than your avatar, which is basically how we ID someone. We'll look at your name if theres no avatar or one we don't recognize.

MURDER JUNKIE 01-03-2006 02:06 AM

Speaking of avatars, I can't seem to change mine. I'm really pissed about it too cuz it's a really sweet King Diamond one.

Help anyone???

ur putting too much emphasis on it. dont be stupid. its just username on the internet. people won't judge you on the type of name you have. worry about something else.
