It means they'll be cast into the lake of fire and not inherit eternal lifee, so it is to die.

The true translation of the original is very unclear and could be interpreted in many different ways. For example, it could mean that a man cannot sleep with another man if that man is dressed as a woman (thus transexuality is the abomination rather than homosexuality).

Well, it sort of is Gods fault. I could go into the whole "God gave man the weakness to temptation, and also created Satan with full knowledge of the affects of his actions. The idea of free will requires a balance in human countenance that cannot exist with the presence of a deitic structure." but that would be a whole theological argument over nothing so I'll cut to the chase.

Homosexuality is, in many cases, genetic. As time goes by scientists are getting closer to finding the specific alleles involved and have already located general genetic traits. Also, in natural homosexuals brain patterns are more closely matched to that of the opposite gender - a sign that their sexual preference is biologically determined. And animals are homosexual.

So, God made Satan to tempt us. God gave us free will, so that we can be tempted. God made the genetic structure that made some of us so susceptible to Satans temptation (or, to the rationally thinking person, they were born ***). So yah, if you believe in God then homosexuality is his fault. Unless we're genetically modified by Satan after having been created by God. In which case, as God created Satan and gave him the character flaw of evil, it's still Gods fault.
