what i dont understand is why sonic team feels the need to keep adding new characters when its pretty clear what fans want..
have you checked out the latest sonic on 360? what the hell is up with the love interest between the human female and a blue hedgehog?
Same with sonic adventure! Im always utterly confused at how they incoporate a giant two-leg walking blue hedhog into a realistic world...but whatever
They even managed to mess up 2-d sidescrolling with the psp game, sonic & shadow or whatever its called..
me im more of a nintendo fanboy, but i wont start a thread, because when ever i bring up everyone calls me "kiddie", apparently if a game doesn't have non-stop violence, dramatic plotline, sex but still manages to be fun it sucks..

I agree on the account that giving Sonic a "human love interest" is just creepy, though in the end everyone loses their memory so nothing ever actually happens between them, god forbid, one can only imagine what monsters their human/hedgehog hybrid children would look like.
I think Sonic does just fine in the 3D world, it's not the transition to 3D that has made the series weaker than it used to be, but rather its because ideas are running thin, but it always pays to be optimistic... One thing I don't think they should have done was change Sonic's homeworld from Mobius to Earth, Mobius made sense, humans cohabitating with giant tallking Hedgehogs, Ehidnas and Foxes on Earth really dosen't.
But I am a Nintendo fanboy, even if Sonic is my favorite game series, in fact, I get into many heated arguments because of my pro Nintendo/Sega, anti Sony/Microsoft rants.
And Sonic Rivials isn't a 2D sidescroller.
