Hypnotism is bull**** anyway, so as far as I'm concerned there's no difference between consenting while hypnotized and consenting regularly.

No it's not...I've been hypnotised.

If your not in your natural frame of mind,

ie; psychotic...your not responsible for your actions. Surely?

but with that logic then if you can be drunk, say yes, and it be considered rape. It was your choice to be hypnotized. It was your choice to drink.

It's true that if you don't want to be hypnotised (as far as i am aware) then you can't be made to go under.

However, if your hypnotised under false pretenses, lets say for arguments sake, that it was for therapy and were then raped or abused while under deep hypnosis, then where's the choice?

The only thing is that while you were having sex you were fine with it and that kind of puts a barrier for me of how you can consider it rape. Because it is a different mind set.

edit: And would the same apply for trauma and being used? If at the time of an odd mindset you consented, got over the situation and, realized you wouldn't have normally done it.

You can if you allow yourself to be.
I can do it to myself...not in a long time though.

As for not being able to do anything to help yourself while hypnotised...I admit I wouldn't know for sure as I've never been in that situation.

Edit: Hahaha ...do you think I was hypnotised and abused?

You surprise me, being a woman and all I would have thought you'd be more sensitized to the issue of rape. Even if one is under the influence, no means no to use the tired old cliche. If you're not able to fully control your actions, if you're not in full mental capacity, you're not guilty of anything, which is why it's considered an extenuating circumstance for various offenses.
