It is a different type of medical treatment that focuses on more than just the medical symptoms and the medical treatment. Instead it focuses on the whole body, making sure all parts (social, nutrition, lifestyle, ect.) are in order, because to become better, all of those things have to be in good order.

yea. I spent a whole week up in the Berkshires (i don't know if i spelled that right) at a place focused on Holistic healing. They took away all fatty, salty foods, caffeines, and sodas. Then they send you to the doctor who tests your blood for any drugs and ****. Then you have to talk to a dietitian who makes this insanely healthy diet that you HAVE to eat. But you're required to tend 2 yoga classes a day on top of 1 hour of aerobic exercise. I did have acupuncture though a couple of times (feels so ****ing amazing). And a couple of aroma theropy sessions and massages (also feels great). The weirdest thing i did was with a spiritual person who like sensed my aura using a crystal and hummed a lot and made a lot of creepy predictions about what might happen if I don't adjust my aura and find inner peace. The best part was i met Uma Thurma while i was there and did yoga with her.

sorry that was probably a little longer than you wanted.

I would. There is really no harm in it, as sketchy as it sounds or looks. I'm convinced a lot of the healing has to do with the placebo effect, though. I'd be interested to know how it works out for you.

yeah, ive had that thought but then again, pranic healing is all about the body's power to heal itself and if you actually got better because your mind thought this healing session did something for you then it really does work. if you get what im saying. the mind is a powerful thing

that reminds me of that movie that came out years ago called "what the bleep do we know?" if you haven't seen it, go and rent it. it's all about the mind's power to affect out environment, our health, and it actually gives scientific evidence to suggest that thoughts can have a phsyical effect on the outside world. It's crazy, i watched it with a group of friends, and it was one of those movies that left us all just completely silent at the end.

yea, the mind is scary powerful. Escepecially since we only use a small chunk of it. It makes me wonder what the other part does...

Sounds pretty sweet. I'll watch it soon.

We use most of our brain. We just don't use it all at the same time. If all the synapses WERE to fire simultaneoulsy, you'd probably fall down on the floor, have a extremely powerful fit, break a lot of bones and die soon after.

I for one am happy with my brain functioning the way it is.

Well-prescribed medicine works better than pranic healing... I've seen people learn this the hard way. At the same time though, medicine for pychiatric conditions seems to be badly prescribed a lot of the time so holistic approaches might be better in these cases.
