^^ Yes I was being sarcastic...I think labels are little tags that stick to the inside of clothing to tell you how to take care of the fabric.

Sometimes labels are applied to people by others, but sometimes the person self-defines using these labels. It might be wrong to label people without their consent, but if they choose to apply labels to themselves then it's kind of rude to ignore those labels.

I think its only wrong if you allow innacurate preconceptions (prejudices) to affect your own evaluation of that person, such that you end up with an incorrect assessment of their personality. If you...

or
2. Are just using a label that they themselves apply to themselves and aren't making any further judgements beyond the most basic features of that label
