The holocaust involved more than just jews. Well, I guess it depends on who you ask. Some group all who were exterminated by nazi's into the holocaust, others only include jews. Don't forget to take a look at stalin if what hitler did intrests you (in a historical way, not as an idol).

^ You are retarded
Stalin was corruption
He killed more people than hitler
he was what was wrong with the communist party
he was looked down upon by fellow communists after his fall, and kruschev ordered he be forgotton

Lenin wasn't perfect but did a lot things right. Stalin however makes me sick and makes me ashamed to say I support a reformed system of communism.

Yeah but there is still a city called Stalingrad in Russia.....And if it wasn't for Stalin who was part of the Allies in World War 2 the USA probably couldn't have beaten the Germans....Fact.

swim 03-20-2007 07:24 PM

If it wasn't for Stalin many people wouldn't have starved, suffered, or died.

And I know oojay is gone, but the Rio De Janeiro tournament never existed. It was an excuse to put the title on Patterson and what better way than to make up a tournament in a South American country. This happens a lot in the early days of the WWWF and the regional territories.

In 1961, the city's name was changed to Volgograd ("Volga City") as part of Nikita Khrushchev's programme of destalinization. This was and remains somewhat contentious, given the fame of the name Stalingrad, and there were once serious proposals to change the name back during Konstantin Chernenko's brief administration in 1985. There is still a strong degree of local support for a reversion and proposals have been made from time to time, though as yet none have been accepted by the Russian government.

I'll get to the Stalin and military leadership issue later. I can assure you that Stalin did not have near as much to do with the fall of Berlin as many would believe.

.....Fact

I think you're confusing 'Stalin' with 'The Russian Army'. Most countries* would try to defend themselves in the event of invasion.

The Axis tried to invade Russia. The HUGE Russian army disagreed. Yes, Stalin had made the army bigger (at huge expense to Russian citizens) but the Russians would have fought back even if their army had been smaller. Because Russians is hardcore. A leader doesn't have to be psychotic to instruct his country to defend itself against invasionary forces.

*except France.

Back to the answers and away from the political stuff.

David Bowie used to be called David Jones but changed his name because of the monkees Davy Jones

A ballad is a story, usually a narrative or poem, in a song. Any story form may be told as a ballad, such as historical accounts or fairy tales in verse form. It usually has foreshortened, alternating four stress lines ("ballad meter") and simple repeating rhymes, often with a refrain.

If it is based on political or religious themes, a ballad may be a hymn. It should not be confused with the ballade, a 14th and 15th century French verse form.
