In the question thread, you ask questions you need answers to. In this thread, people can post interesting nuggets of information and we can all become masters of Trivial Pursuit. Heres mine:

In music, dynamics normally refers to the softness or loudness of a sound or note, but also to every aspect of the execution of a given piece, either stylistic (staccato, legato etc.) or functional (velocity). The term is also applied to the written or printed musical notation used to indicate dynamics.

The very first WWF Intercontinental Championship was won by Pat Patterson on September 1, 1979 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

The term "blast beat" was invented by Mick Harris of Napalm Death in the late 1980's.

Adolf Hitler didn't only have one testicle. He had two testicles but one was underdeveloped.

Right-Track is clearly not up to date with his 'genocidal genitalia' trivia.

Polar bears aren't mostly left handed.

The capital of Azerbaijan is Baku. The capital of Kazakhstan is Astana. The capital of Uzbekistan is Tashkent.

right-track 03-17-2007 10:55 AM

HA ^ I didn't even know he only had one developed testicle...I was blagging.
Right then Mr. Up to date Genocidal Genitalia trivia man...which one was underdeveloped? Left or right?

Edit:@DRMO...too late, I googled and according to sources it was his left testicle, however, it remains inconclusive as to whether he was minus a bollock (underdeveloped or otherwise) at all.
Russian sources released details of an autopsy in 1970, which appear dubious considering the body was supposedly incinerated.
Soviet chicanery at play perhaps?
Other sources also lack strong recorded evidence to suggest his gonads were in fact, less than complete.

Also, a French kiss in France is described as an English kiss.

Werner Herzog once bet Errol Morris that if Morris could complete his full length feature Gates of Heaven then he would eat his own shoe. Morris completed the film and Herzog boiled his shoe for 5 hours and ate it.

The term 'Briton,' from which we get the name 'Great Britain,' originally referred exclusively to the Welsh people, so technically, the only true Britons in Great Britain are the Welsh.

I'll take this a step further, while lacking a technical name the "blast beat" was first used in jazz music.

While the word origins are uncertain, interestingly the adjective "Welsh" goes back (at least) 1000 years to the Anglo-Saxon root wælisc, and literally meant "foreigner" or "stranger".

Britons were in fact the Welsh and Anglo Saxons are of course the English.
So it follows that to the English gave the Welsh their name; Welsh=foreigner.

right-track, as far as northerners go, you're aiight.

The numbers '172' can be found on the back of the U.S. $5 dollar bill in the bushes at the base of the Lincoln Memorial

In the average lifetime, a person will walk the equivalent of 5 times around the equator.

Each of the suits on a deck of cards represents the four major pillars of the economy in the middle ages: heart represented the Church, spades represented the military, clubs represented agriculture, and diamonds represented the merchant class.

The human heart creates enough pressure to squirt blood 30 feet

The bagpipe was originally made from the whole skin of a dead sheep

Beeteedub, Kim Novak, while remaining pretty is no longer hot, since (she's?) in her 70's or 80's. Trust me, (she?) was hot. Just watch Vertigo.

The phrase "rule of thumb" is derived from and old English law, which stated that you couldn't beat your wife with anything wider than your thumb.

cardboard adolescent 03-19-2007 05:01 PM

I can sell you a picture of Jamie Lee Curtis' penis for twenty dollars.
