Comparing the Welsh to northerners!? Ew, I'd like to think I'm a bit more classy than that.

And sensitive, i lump anyone who isnt from london in the same brackets when it comes to britian, its just easier that way!

The combined population of Scotland and Wales, amounts to a little more than the population of London.

The city of Manchester has a population of around 250,000, stretching 12 miles from north to south and never stretching more than 4 miles wide, from west to east.

Making Manchester the most musically talented city, per capita/per square mile in the world.
The capital of cool.

^ I'm not entirely sure if I detect a subtle hint of southern sarcasm in there Stu...

London's the place to be if you want to get on in the music business (as far as Britain is concerned). As soon as a band 'breaks it big', they head for the south.
In the recent past a fair few Manchester bands managed to resist the temptation of basing themselves in London.
Up here, we like to do things our own way, but sooner or later the pressure to move usually wins out. Shame really.

That'll be the country that owned your arses before you forefathers turned traitors to the crown.
If I had my way, you'd all be hung, drawn and quartered. ;)
