his jokes are horrible, I think it's mainly the delivery that does it. I saw some of his older stuff and I thought it was alright. but his newest special, I think I laughed once or twice. people just get caught up in his act and laugh at everything he says. my personal favorites : Mitch Hedberg, Louis CK, Demetri Martin, Zach Galifianakis, Richard Jeni, and that's about it. there's some other funny ones, but those are my favorites

Why do people hate him so much? His jokes are plenty funny to me. Seems like everybody went through a stage of liking him and then all the sudden "OMG he's so overrated he suks". I listen to plenty of stand-up and I just can't figure the hate any other way. If everybody hates him why is he so popular? And don't pull the "grade school kids" thing because they all hate him too.

I don't get it.

^Word Coco.
Personally I think that his joke writing is only OK, but his delivery is great.

I've never liked him. I thought he sucked from the first time I ever heard his standup.

I have his first two CD's and I think they are pretty funny. Somethings he says are not humorous, but the skits on the scented markers, jeez its and christ chex hit home for me. I think he is above average, but has fallen victim to hatred only due to popularity. Which fully explains this thread.
