I've still yet to take one of the traditional hallucinogens, once though i partook in amounts of Dramamine the over the counter carsick medicine, and saw the sky twirl, walls crinkling like tin foil and a cricket that leapt around provacativly

If you have the right kind of personality for it and know what you're getting yourself into, and have stuff to do, it can be really fun. For me, it was basically just hanging out with three friends and laughing hysterically while watching Jackass The Movie... which I realized was decidedly post-modern.

I'm pretty sure you meant, if you don't have any stuff to do. From my experience, acid is best between you and people you know very well. It sort of sheds your ego, and you want to be around people you know and can trust. At least from my experience, I've definitely never met anyone who wanted to trip right before they had a bunch of stuff to do.
