Having a spotter is very handy as well, not so much for when a trip goes sour but more because you don't want anyone trying to swim out of your three story window to go use the floating bathroom arcade across the river.

I wouldn't do what Dwnwthvwls said by taking a cap at a time, just take your half 8th or 8th (the latter is recommended dosage for your typical shrooms) all at once. If you spread it out it's not as good because you don't achieve the next level as easily, you just kind of maintain the initial trip.

That's terrible advice. You can't just turn off an anxiety attack or bad trip by thinking positively. It's his first time let him get the feel of what shrooms are like before he goes all in. You gonna tell him to blow an 8-ball his first time on coke too? Or take an OC-80 his first time doing pain killers?

Doing dumb **** like that is why drugs get a bad name. Complete lack of respect for the power drugs have and irresponsible use.

Every shroom is different it's good to test the waters and then consume the rest as a first time user. You can always buy more and kick it up a notch the next time you do it.

I've counseled people going through bad moments with that exact same advice. Take it as it comes and don't let it overwhelm you. Yeah it's not always possible but it being a head trip your mind has a lot to do with it. As far as testing the waters goes I guess we just have to disagree but I feel like when I tried that method I didn't really get my money's worth. Taking the full dose will let him get a feel for it more appropriately IMO.

Taking the whole dose is the most common way to do it, mainly because of how laid back the trips tend to be (maybe laid back is the wrong word but if you compare it to other hallucinogens you know what I mean). Anyway it takes all sorts, well let YD decide from here.

It's just what you currently experience but a bit different tbh. Walls warping, lights and colours changing, sounds changing, giggles, waves of euphoria and feelings of tranquility, just a nice experience all round and when they wear off and you feel yourself coming back to normal it's not dirty or anything like that. Top drug imo.

I ate them wet first few times then dried them out, I had a bad trip once which was more intense and was when I stopped but as I said that was more to do with smoking weed prior to eating them.

I don't know about using weed to chill out. A bad trip feels like when you start having spiraling feelings of negativity and paranoia just like the way weed can, except times ten. Weed might actually make it worse if you're already in that state of mind.

I agree with this. You think Xanax would work? I've never mixed the two but it's probably ****ing amazing.

Not disagreeing with this point at all. My point is he can do it more than once and getting an understanding of what will happen to his body is more important than getting his moneys worth (the first time).

First time I did it I ate 2 full shrooms (1.5g maybe) and I was fine. Yes, I think shrooms are mostly safe but I guess now that I am not a carefree teenager I find it more appropriate to test the waters before going balls deep.

Very much agreed. Got addicted to that **** in high school, stile mess from my family then started jacking cash to fund it. Definitely not worth it.

i must be weird or something. i swear i get addicted to damn near everything i touch and yet i tried opiates (oxy) several times and thought it was ehh. kind of boring without weed or booze tbh. never got the slightest urge to make it a habit.

OCs/Oxies/Oxycodeines are usually abused by people tryna cope with addiction to opiates caused by harder, stronger drugs. Like heroin.

Try a shot of decent heroin and get back to me the next day or so n try n act like it ain't no thang.
