I suspect the shrooms you took were not liberty cap (or as they're officially called 'psilocybe semilanceata'). Liberty caps look like this:

As you can see they are small but don't let their size deceive as, gram for gram, they're one of the most potent psychedelic mushrooms around. A gram of liberty caps will get you higher than a gram of cubensis.

Idk, this is what I have left. I think I underestimated the 5-10=3.5grams, but 50-60 still seems absurd. This is 2 doses for me, but I only do it a few times a year.

It's difficult identifying a species when dry, but I think those are psilocybe cubensis.

50-60 liberty caps is a dose for experienced trippers prepared for what might be a rough ride. I mean, 30 liberty caps is enough to bring on hallucinations but dosage is a very personal thing; body weight, experience, preference, what you hope to gain from the journey, they all come into play when deciding what's right. Terrence McKenna would do 5 dried grams on an empty stomach. That seems absurd and incredibly frightening to me, but that's what he liked to do.

Yeh I gotcha. Do those fresh ones taste any better? I actually don't mind the dried guys anymore but they look delicious when fresh.

They're a little nicer if eaten fresh, but not much. I often feel sick after eating them, whether eaten fresh, made tea out of, or eaten dried. A good way to get them down is to make pearl jam out of them (putting them in a jar full of honey) but you'll still taste them later on your burps. Yuck.
