What is a Chav? (country, dance, bass, indie, punk)

I think the thread is a small big of a generalisation and unfair...
I know plenty of people who fit into this chav trend and are extremely nice people.
It just seems that the kids who commit crime nowadays are chavs as well...
Pavee's is the big thing over here in Ireland.
Living makeshift homes or scrounging council homes, not working, thieving, generally causing trouble at every opportunity. They'll attack anyone.
It's a pain being into not so mainstream music and style, because often you get abuse for looking different, I'm a goth apparently :p
